I started with FF's, but they are that bit over budget. I'm sure Chris Harris ran a 612 for a while and could get his bike in it? Could be wrong!

Another +1 for the GTR for me. Car does it all and you can get a fine example for that money. Tend to be less painful in terms of depreciation than most in this area of the market.

Thanks for all of the suggestions so far. Really appreciated.

Given I’ve just balked at the rear end of that E63 estate..... it looks as though the Panamera 4 Sport Turismo is coming out on top at the moment.....

If you are looking at that have you also checked out the XFR-S Sportbrake? It's a little older but more power, great suspension setup, decent boot and they seem to hold their money due to the limited run with the Sportbrake. It's also way under budget. Lovely 5.0 V8 engine.

I wouldn't necessarily rule it out if the OP can stretch the finances for 12 months. I normally change cars every 12-18 months and try an be canny with what I buy as the biggest cost in ownership is depreciation. Take that in account and it could well be far cheaper to buy the FF compared to the Alfa or Jag.

Yes, they should have toned down that rear end. Perhaps like this:

6.2 AMG naturally aspirated E63 estate
