Wondering if anyone can help.

I took out a 24 month lease on a Cupra which I collected 23rd June 2019. I've currently driven 4,300 miles and the oil service light/notification has just appeared. From my understanding this is supposed to happen at 8k or 1 year, whichever comes first, but I've not driven 8k, nor have I had the car for a year. Can anyone shed some light on this?

I've also got numerous issues with the car, rear passenger side knock and also a constant creak/vibration/rattle from the boot lid which I need looking at ASAP. I've had nothing but issues with the car from the start and the dealer is quite useless to be honest. Is it worth taking up the issues with SEAT direct?

Cheers

They probably don't know when the supplying dealership will open. Even then the dealer may have a backlog. Things should get clearer over the next month as dealerships start opening up more.

I'm getting real tired of chasing Zen Auto for an update on re-scheduled delivery of my Cupra. Was due to be delivered on 3rd April but this was of course postponed due to lockdown.

However, given that BCA have started making collections over the past couple of weeks and some dealers have made arrangements for contactless deliveries, I've asked Zen for an update on 4 separate occasions. Every single time it's been 'we'll have an update in a couple of days, we'll be in touch' and then radio silence until I chase again.

If it wasn't such a good deal (£189 pcm on a 9+23, 10k miles) I'd pull the plug and write off the £100 deposit, cannot stand being messed about.
Yep.
All Seat dealers are shut for sales so nothing happening.
Mine has been there since 16th March.
Apparently it was supposed to be registered on 31st March but this didn’t happen.

Hi all,

Anyone else in a similar situation? My lease is running out in June and I have just seen in the other leasing thread that VWFS will offer extensions at same price for 6 months....however, I took out a maintenance plan with mine (audi s4). Its showing as an inspection due in 57 days and although im well under the mileage limit I expect if I kept it for another 6 months Id need tyres aswell.

The maintenance plan will end in June after 2 years and Im assuming extending that for another 6 months is more awkward? Considering its with a separate company.

How would you guys approach this? Atm Im just thinking its best to say im handing it back (im aware collections arnt happening, but just end the agreement).
Suppose if it depends if you need the car still.

Our car was due to be collected on 16th April. We were 2800 miles under but the brakes were very low. As the collection didn’t happen and the car is still used for work we have had to bite the bullet 2 weeks ago for new brakes. Cost was less than a hire car for 3 weeks and now it looks like this lockdown will carry on another 3 weeks. So it’s going to be nearly 2 months after collection date.

Lease company haven’t taken payments since march though so hey ho.

Was it a stock car?

Did you defer delivery to a more convenient time?

The service indicator starts from then they pdi the car so if it arrived at the dealership in april and you didn't take delivery until june then that's 2 months of the 12 out of the service schedule before you even got the car.

Wouldn't the service officially be required one year after actual registration regardless of pdi or when the light comes on..

I ordered the car late May, they said it was a car that was built and already at the port? It wasn’t actually at the dealership at the time, I just had to wait a few weeks for it to be delivered.

Dealer put sticker reminder of first service 1 year from collection. Car was registered month earlier, so it depends.

I'm guessing, that service after 4K miles might be due to a lot of short trips.

You can easily reset the oil change warning yourself. Theres 2 service reminders, 1 for oil 1 for inspection. My cupra flashed up silly early aswell, I just reset it and now both services are near aligned. It should be set to longlife anyway.

I did this with my last golf lease too and there was no issue at handback.

I'm in a similar situation. Have an Audi S5 due to go back end of next month. Initially had it for 2 years, but extended it so will have had for 36 months in total.

Called Audi today to see what my options were. They offer formal extensions (both 6 and 12 month) but the monthly rates were stupid - over £1000 + VAT per month (I am currently paying £295!).

They then said I could take an informal extension - keep the same monthly rentals (with pro rata mileage extension) for 3 months, with option to extend for 6 months in total. They said I could contact BCA at any time (assuming the open soon!) to hand the car back (so not tied in for 3 months) and they would offer pro rata refund of monthly rentals.

I am tempted to go for this option - I won't have to pay for MOT. I need to check that there won't be any pending services which would increase the price. Other risk is car will be out of warranty. I thought this option would work for me while I see how the lease market plays out the next few weeks/months as there aren't many great deals at the moment - if there is a good deal I can always contact Audi to end the contract.

I think I have thought everything through but am I missing anything? I looked at option of purchasing car from Audi but they are still quoting approximately £26k for car which I think is expensive in the current climate.

Potentially, I only drive it 12 miles a day during the week, city driving too.

Morning, does anyone have a damage matrix for Lex they can send me?

My father in law has a CClass thats goin back next month which has been keyed on two doors down to the metal. He wants to take it to a back street paint shop that insists the whole side needs to be painted for £280 and i'm telling him to just hand it back as is. He has tried calling Lex but reckons no one is answering. Can't seem to find a Lex matrix anywhere online. I have one for Arval which is quoting £135 per panel when scratched to bare metal. Hopefully it's similar.

Someone did post them a few weeks ago but can’t find the post now. From what I can remember, they were in line with most of the others for charges though like leaseplan etc

Edit, found it. Posted at the bottom of here by spenny20

Audi due to go back in a few months however I have found these chips at the bottom of the bumper. I have had quotes to get it pained, but before I go ahead, what will Audi Finance charge me if I return the car looking like that? Any ideas?

Bit of a general update on Zen Auto. I have a Cupra 300 at the moment (not through Zen) which is at the end of its contract and due to be collected by BCA tomorrow, my new Cupra 290 arranged through Zen Auto was scheduled to be delivered on 3rd April but that didn't happen for obvious reasons.

I've chased Zen Auto quite a bit to re-schedule the delivery but the dealership group (Vindis) have been slow to make arrangements, have a backlog of deliveries, very few drivers, etc. Discussed with Zen and made it clear that being without a car would leave me in a pretty difficult position and they offered a courtesy car to tide me over. After a little more chasing to make sure they actually followed through on this offer, this morning I took delivery of a diesel Passat Estate hire car... wasn't quite expecting something this size!

All done, about 20 min inspection, picked up front wheels scuffed but that was it. Said he's marking them down and nothing else. Wasn't sure if I'd get charged with that being it.
Didn't have to sign so I videoed him as he said it all at the end.
