You lucky swine! I’ve got a scratch on the rear bumper after some bellend hit me in the supermarket and drove off. It’s a lot better than what it was after some light wet and dry, colour and polish but still noticeable when it’s clean. Might keep the car a bit dirty for the inspection.

Anyone any experience of that? I always give the car a good clean before BCA come? With WVFS if that helps

If it's dirty you can also get hit with a valeting charge if it's a single small scratch then £40 smart repair or at worst bumper corner/bumper center repair £90

I’ll give it a wash then. Going to have to pay for 2 wheel returbs anyway and the VWFS damage charges are reasonable

Read your contract. There will be a section relating to servicing requirements.

Some allow you to service at vat registered non main dealer service centres (using genuine parts), some don’t.

Some PHers have serviced them at non main dealers even when it says you can’t, and had no come backs, as they weren’t checked upon return.

I have serviced my Jag at an indy garage, but made enquiries first, and I suggest that is the route you take rather than ask here as it really depends on what you have signed.
I'm with leaseplan, contract says an approved agen

I checked on website and it says vat registered with approved parts. I only require a first oil and inspection service and an independent is £100 cheaper.

Only difference is I won't get free breakdown cover.

Also, I was never given a service book so assume the service record is electronic.

Most service records are now electronic / online.

I had my jag serviced at an indy (£200 cheaper), and they logged the service directly on the Jaguar system.

When I went to the main dealer for an engine warranty repair (spotted by the indy), they noticed it was serviced elsewhere on their system. No issues with the warranty repair though: )

Any experiences of extending a lease with Leaseplan?

I'm 2 years into a 3 year lease and looking at the current deals not hopeful of finding a decent replacement.

Lease is fully maintained so warranty hopefully not an issue.

Currently have a Tiguan on a 2 year lease with Vertu.
The car got hit by a stone the other day which has cracked the windscreen, cracks not getting bigger, so putting up with it for now.
Obviously I could get it replaced through my insurers, but does anyone know the charges for handing it back with a cracked screen? Saves the hassle of getting it changed myself (I know, being really lazy here!)

if it's enough that it would fail an MOT does that not render it unroadworthy?

I had a repair done on my cupra before it went back, the guy inspecting it said the windscreen was the only thing worth getting repaired yourself as they charge full costs

Get it done on insurance with no hesitation. The lease company will charge you full whack.

Audi A6 via VWFS, 56K miles (contract is for 75k), service in 700 miles has come up, goes back in March.

Damn! If only it had stayed off for another couple of hundred miles

Tomo why haven't you contacted them to adjust the mileage?

Was too late... Plus, to leave some spare if things had changed office wise, I don't think the reduction would have been that substantial.

As above. If you can guarantee that you won’t write your car off, then no you don’t need it. smile

I’d repair using insurance as it’s free (maybe with an excess?)...
