BCA came today to do the inspection, and inform me they are taking the car away!

On the flipside, £144 for scuffing the crap out of my octavia vrs' alloys is a deal to me.

On another point of VwFS being st,
Has anyone had any correspondence to say there account had been closed or the final letter since the car was collected.

Since I paid the settlement in March and the car collected In April I’ve had zero letters or emails confirming any of this......:just the letters saying I owe them money lol.

It was a point I discussed on the phone with them but they weren’t really interested

Not heard a thing after it was collected at the end of April. I've not had any issues with missed payments on my credit report, but it does still show as an open account with a balance on it... Would prefer it didn't seeing as I settled it almost 2 months ago.

My car was collected early March, I was over on mileage by around 700 miles and I haven't received any invoice for the excess, I wondering because of Covid they may have waived the charge! I was given an A for condition.

Anyone else still waiting for a final invoice as long as me?

Mine was collected on 29th April. I received the report from BCA saying condition was A. A couple of weeks later, I received an invoice from VWFS for the excess mileage. Paid that via bank transfer but no correspondence since so I assume it's all done, but like others it would have been nice to receive a letter to say that.

Absolutely disgraceful. I've just submitted my complaint to the ombudsman, hope you lot do as well when they don't hit the 8 week SLA.
Can you let me know what you did as I’ve had the same reply to my complaint.

RE closure of account - after mine was collected, approx two weeks later I got an invoice via the post for £200 relating to extra hire period charges. Called Audi to dispute and they were waived and account closed (confirmed via email)

Yes, just submitted an online complaint via a form on the FOS website.

Just fill in all of the info and job done.

Generic response was I should get some type of reply within 3 weeks.

So I had a reply from VWFS today, don't get to excited though; as expected they haven't answered any of my queries regarding why my account hasn't been closed down and formal notification of this, why it's still active on my credit report etc, the only bit they replied to was when I mentioned I've formally raised it with the FOS...and the response was basically I shouldn't bother as the FOS will only investigate once it's been investigated by VWFS, even though it was VWFS who sent me the email stating as their SLA has been missed, I'm now able to log with the FOS.

You couldn't make it up, it appears VWFS ste communication is not limited to customers, but other VWFS staff/teams as well.

Really looking forward to discussing this with the VWFS resolution team when they do finally get round to dealing with it and making actual contact with me.

I have too heard nothing since the car was collected at the end of April.

However, in other news, the missed payment marker has been removed from my credit report and my score has recovered, so at least that’s over with!

So that’s a bit of good news.

They’ve upheld the complaint and acknowledged that VWFS are a bunch of cowboys, sounds like they’ve sorted it.

My Credit Karma report refreshes next week so I’ll update this thread and let you know if it’s been removed.

I’ll also let you know if the other credit reference agencies report a black marker and require me to dispute that too. I presume I’ll have to.

Meanwhile I’ve heard nothing from VWFS, shocking.
I’m going to raise a dispute aswell I’m sick of waiting for VwFS to get it removed. Was it just an explanation on the dispute that was required?

Yes I just went into detail with dates of collection and the settlement etc and it’s been accepted. Hopefully yours does too.

I presume you mean VAG? Its easy to say that but if, like me, all you have ever driven is VW (and one Audi) cars like me you do develop a liking and affinity with their products. Such a shame their UK finance arm is such a crap company.

Got 2 letters today......

1 asking for additional payment for the days the VW was sat on the driveway awaiting colection from 27th March thru to 30th April

The 2nd letter was for the repairs required which were noted at collection.

After being on hold for 20 mins, I finally spoke to someone at VWFS and explained the car hadn't moved a wheel since the replacement was delivered on the 20th March, again a VWFS car.
The guy apologised and wrote the additional costs off the extra days, as I expected them to, as it wasn't our fault

Also paid the £110 repair fees, so it killed 2 birds with one stone.

Annoying that they even sent the additional days invoice out in the first place, but I guess they're trying it on.

Mine collected today, zero damage / faults noted - very thorough inspection

Will be on phone to VWFS first thing in the morning to get my file closed and get the payment defaults removed

Does not mean that this is over by a long chalk - I will not stop until they accept that their actions are bang out of order

I’ve had the black credit mark issue but now resolved but doesn’t put me off a VWFS one bit. They have some of the best deals along with the cheapest excess mileage and damage charges..

Hopefully they get the current issues solved, I’ve had loads of PCH & PCP through VWFS and never had a problem before so fingers crossed.

Note: I have a VW on the drive and Audi incoming both PCH so Hope I’m right :-)

That’s some good news at least. I did have a scroll through and couldn’t see how you had your credit file amended? I’m nearly 4 weeks since I phoned VWFS and then telling me it would be sorted, but today it’s been added to clear score and Experian

Keep ringing, I also did the online complaint form. They will put it in an email that the error was theirs and that it’s been sorted. It was even semi apologetic.
