God knows how i managed it but i got my VRS taken away 20 Mins after my Leon CUPRA arrived, car was 6k under mileage and classed as grade A, no charges at all.

very satisfied with the whole process from both sides, BCA for pick up and Perrys leasing for the delivery and updates on CUPRA.

happy days.

How were the wheels on the one you sent back?

It’s my only worry when they come for mine.

So now after collection of my Skoda, fully paid off early, I too have received the missed payment letter from Skoda.
Logging onto the online account shows the contract has been fully paid and terminated. The direct debit was still active so could have been taken by them and then refunded.

Vwfs are an absolute shower of st.
Snotty email sent telling them to remove any markers on my credit file.

My S5 finally got collected yesterday. Very friendly chap, grade A, happy days.

Will call VWFS today to verify that I’ll get my pro-rata refund as I ended the informal extension 2 weeks early - wish me luck!

After emailing Skoda on 18th July re missed payment after fully paying off early, today received an email stating the vehicle is fully paid off, the missed payment letter was a system error, and they would ask the finance depot to make sure any markers are removed.
(might take a couple of months to work through the system).

Hopefully that's the end of it.

If you push those markers can be removed inside of a week. I pushed as I was looking for a new car and I didn't want to fail a credit check because of VWFS' cock up.

Ironically it meant I didn't go for a Audi A4 I was tempted by and I'm now awaiting a BMW instead. Good riddance VWFS!

I had my Leon Cupra collected at end of lease on 4th of June by BCA and have been tracking occasionally since as I'm curious when it will go up for auction and how much it will go for but according to DVLA it was originally SORN but is now showing as not taxed with no change on the V5.

There must be literally tens of thousands of ex-lease cars sat in pounds around the country not going to auction to deliberately keep the supply of good second hand cars down to manipulate the prices

Interestingly just did a number plate check on my S4 which went back end of April, and it’s been SORN!
My Audi A4 (collected March 4th) is also shown as untaxed - no doubt sitting on an airfield/storage compound somewhere for the last five months.

Looks like BCA caught up with collections. I could choose collection date a week from now. I'm returning car 5 weeks early, but decided not to terminate contract officialy, to save myself hassle of removing late payment marker, which seems to be standard. Early termination would save me only £100, so I thought it's not worth it.

Buyout price was similar to retail, so letting the car go.

So - after having my black mark removed I chose a BMW to replace the Audi - partly so as to avoid VWFS. I'm reminded why I avoided them now, as having booked a collection through BCA, VWFS cancelled it without telling me. I sat in yesterday waiting for my car to be collected only for BCA to tell me that the driver had had an issue.

That, it turns out, was a lie by one of the BCA staff trying to cover his own arse. VWFS had cancelled the collection and never given me a reason or notice. The car is now sat outside my house, uninsured and uncollected.

For the love of God, never, ever, take out a car lease with VWFS. Terrible customer service compounded by the gaggle of morons employed by BCA. fking joke.

Sorry to dig out an old thread but i have a problem that some of you might be able to advise on!

I purchased a car over a year ago from a dealership and paid in full for it, they provided a HPI check but in my excitement to get the car it didn't include a finance check, only if it was stolen etc,

im now trying to sell the car and it now turns out it has a finance marker on it with VWFS and is showing an agreement number ( i assume it was left on in error and is all paid off, i am only the 2nd owner, they car isn't even 3 years old )

I have contacted them over the last 2 weeks and im getting nowhere, they cant disclose any info as I'm not the agreement holder / original person who took out the finance, im going round and in round in circles and they wont provide clearance or even telkl me if money is owed etc, i have nearly 30k invested in the car and need to sell and at the moment no one will touch it because of the incorrect marker in place.

where do i stand, ive owned the car for 13months with what i assume is an incorrect marker on it and its rendering my car worthless as i cant trade it in or sell private, as each day goes on its potentially losing money.

I have written a email as well as called and im in the process of posting out all the details recorded also, is there anything else i can do?

Not really anything to do with ending a VWFS lease is it,

I presume you actually bought it from a dealership and not some bloke who you met on the dealers frontage . . . . worst case is that the car isn't yours to sell.

VWFS probably won't deal with you as they haven't a clue who you are and they cerainly won't discuss anything relating to a third party's finances with you. Go back to the dealer you think you bought it from!.

Not been checking this thread since my s4 went back, but I submitted a complaint via the FOS and they finally came back to me today to say they basically agree with everything I've put forward and their verdict is that vwfs need to pay £100 compensation.

It's obviously not about the money, just for them to actually acknowledge and rectify the numerous fk ups they caused for me and everyone else effected. Apparently each FOS complaint that gets dealt with costs vwfs £500, so if any of you were in 2 minds about logging a complaint with the FOS, crack on.

She did say there are quite a few for vwfs since all this kicked off, so I did wonder if it was most of us smile

I've also fell foul of VVFS.

Sent my A4 back early in Jan. All paid up. BCA man noted some damage, couple hundred pounds worth. This was expected and some parts I was going to query when VWFS send me the final report, as advised by BCA guy.

Started to get text and email messages to say I owe them money. Phoned 3 times and was told 3 times it's a system error and to ignore. Fast forward to yesterday when I check my credit report to see I now have a late payment marker. Rang them again and spoke to some absolute numpty who didn't seem care or know what he was doing. Explained the issue is that I didn't pay the damage charges, I explained I was yet to receive a formal invoice so it was inconceivable that I paid it. He sent me the report then and explained to ring back to query any charges.

I have now emailed the CEO and waiting a response. From going through this thread it seems a common issue. I'm not sure how they think it's acceptable to damage peoples credit ratings due to their ineptitude. Will report back when I get a response. They have till close of play today before I submit a full complaint with the FOS. I want a new car soon so I can't have this hanging over me, my credit rating was perfect up until now.

Not happy.

I had an issue with these idiots that was dragging on for nearly 12 weeks and it was like banging my head against a brick wall. I emailed ceo Mike Todd and to his credit the issue was resolved within 3 days and the late payment markers were removed within a week. Just ridiculous you have to resort to emailing the boss to get stuff sorted.

I bought a SEAT Arona in February 2020

Due to work I will be leaving the country in July 2021

So, in total, after an initial £1300 plus £215 a month since last feb (16 months) I will ask to return the car.

Any ideas what total amount I will need to find to end the agreement and get the car collected? I want to brace myself!

I’ve emailed VWFS. Does anyone have a good number to get through to them on?\

Thanks in advance!

They will ask you to pay 55% of the total outstanding payments. That works out at £118.25 for each month still to run. There will also be an excess mileage charge to add to that if you have pro rata exceeded your limit.

So if you are 16 month in to a 24 month lease you would have to pay them £946.00 to terminate early.

When you say bought... Do you mean leased? I'm assuming so because you psoted in a lease thread, however if you instead did a PCP then you just need to get a settlement figure and a trade-in value for the car, it'll cost you whatever the difference between the two is.

If you have leased the car then, as above, you'll be paying around half of all remaining payments on the vehicle.
