why would he need luck?
I was editing as you posted this...I changed the mileage and it sky rocketed so I thought a mistake.

I've enquired now too smile
Leaseloco shows the price dropping on these yesterday - https://www.leaseloco.com/car-leasing/volkswagen/g...

and also the same price so likely to be accurate.
£9.5K still seems a lot for a manual GTi on a 2 yr 5K deal though. Almost £400/m amortized.

Agreed - it's really not great.

I looked at 10k and it was 301 a month total £9717, a better deal (if you need that mileage).

However the morning after the night before I'm too thinking it isn't great frown

Anyone found any good mk8 golf Gti lease deals, need to get something on order fairly soon.

When the first of the R mk7 golfs came out I had a cracking deal based on 5k a year, if I could find another like this even a gti as time is ticking it would be great transport for back and fore the office.

Just had a look about and the golf gti deals don’t look great at all in my opinion.

The last golf manual R I had cost something £159 + vat with 6 payments in and 5000 miles a year on a two year deal. It was around 2014 mind....

Looks like the new golf r pool car is out the window

Guys a R is not going to be cheaper than a GTI - I know it was in the past, but now, everyone looks for a R etc, and I very much doubt with this one VW are going to want poverty spec R's everywhere.

Plus with the tax over £40k - I'm pretty sure the R will be over that, increased tax means a R for the old prices is never going to happen, move on people, you can't do anything about the past! and you can't compare 2014 prices to 2020 prices, car tax has changed, prices have changed.

Sorry rant over, and breathe.

I’m not bothered R or GTI makes no difference to me, it’s only going to be used as work transport. Doing less than 5000 miles a year. Be happy for a manual basic spec as it will only be for two years and it’s going to be left outside and handed back.

Just want something cost effective, golf R cars seem to be everywhere in my part of the country nowadays.

Clearly VW shifted plenty of these first time around, guess it was what the xr3i was back in the late 80s .....

If you want something cost effective to get you to work and back, and R or Gti makes no difference... get the 1.6 base spec model.

Or a Leon Cupra.

if you want something cost effective, and the cars you are mentioning are not cost effective, why not just get something else? If you really want a Golf R then get a used one?

I’m a car nut and own a number of other cars and this would be used to just keep the mileage down on my other cars and to also avoid me taking certain cars to customers.

Looks like the R is out on the 4th, will wait to see prices against the GTI and get what looks the best deal.

My last one came from a company called freedom will give them try next month. 250 to 300 + vat and month on a business lease would be all I would really want to spend on one I guess.

From my quick look last night it looks possible with the mk8 gti already.

Has anyone seen anything on the new Tiguan R-Line?

Doesn't seem to be anything of great value around. Best i've seen is:

Tiguan R Line 1.5 TSI
9+35
10k Miles
£2,748.06 upfront
£305 a month

that's on leasing.com
