Sounds ok, who with?
VehicleFlex, found via leaseloco.

Had a confirmation quote back from them, going to add a couple of options I think and FTK on Monday. Not going to get an A4 Avant anywhere near my current £400 / Month A6 Saloon deal (25k/annum) not even with 15k, so Skoda it is!

Looks like the last generation model though.

Anyone seen or heard of any cheap Mk7.5 Golf R deals yet, since the Mk8 will be due soon?

Had a look myself and nothing around much better than 4.5k/year amortised over 3 years or 5.5k/year amortised over 2 years, which is nothing to write hone about

Has anyone seen anything on the new Tiguan R-Line?

Doesn't seem to be anything of great value around. Best i've seen is:

Tiguan R Line 1.5 TSI
9+35
10k Miles
£2,748.06 upfront
£305 a month

that's on leasing.com
The Kuga deals are still live and are much better value https://www.whatcar.com/car-leasing/deals/ford/kug...

Those have been out for at least 3 months. July and Sept pre-reg offers. If you're waiting for them to be £1.50 per month then forget it.

Can verify genuine also, had a pdf quote through from Arnold Clark a few days ago - decent price IMO for a almost top of the range ST Line X 190 AWD - but can I get to find one to drive........not even a lower powered diesel so can test the auto box!

I have a golf r and tiguan and they are coming the the end of a 3 year lease. I really like both of them and they were on the really good deals from around three years ago. Originally they were on a 2 year lease and when I extended for another year I got the R for £210/month and the Tiguan for £162.

As they say all the time on this forum, it's not about a specific car, it's all about the deal as long as the car meets your requirements of course

Has anyone on this forum ever extended a VWFS lease beyond 3 years as the deals at the moment are not so great?

I did get offered a Toureg Black Edition recently on a £3000 down and then £440/month which I have provisionally signed up for. I always go direct to a VW dealer when I see something come up on this forum and they have always beaten the price

And yes, before anyone says it, the Golf R is not a looker and it's a bit racy for a 50 year old but I've really enjoyed it

Ford Kuga 2.0 EcoBlue 190 ST-Line X Edition 5dr Auto AWD Estate 8sp EU6 MY21.25

3 + 35, 15k = £351.12
3 + 35, 20k = £385.30
Excess PPM 0.087

Would suggest that the costs from the WhatCar site for 8k & 10k are genuine on the back of that (£295.03 & £306.80) as well as the quotes for the smaller engines - although some, like the Vignale do seem very expensive.

Also had a quote for for the Kuga, they are likely built Dec deliver march according to the supplying dealer (that was through Arnold Clark) I was tempted but having seen a few now I'm not that keen on the looks, the old model at line looked quite sporty this really doesn't do it as much for me.

My price range could only stretch to the 1.5 diesel which I feel would be under powered. Doing about 4k a year pre lockdown so want a petrol or hybrid next

Yes, like you I extended for a 3rd year at a cheaper rate then did an informal 6 month extension at the end of year 3 at the same rate. This would have run until December however my Golf R Estate has just gone back today as I now have something else lined up. Speak to VWFS. It was a great car by the way a little sad to see it go as it was a very good daily.

The Golf R will be revealed on the 4th. It's worth remembering that when the 7 came out the R was priced £4k ahead of the 26k GTi. The GTi is now £35K so expect £39k. 9k higher than the initial 7 variant. The days of deals of the past are long gone. Discounts will be around the net £34k mark for the R

That is all that counts. What you think and want. Some of the comments on here about taste are idiotic.

and the new R has only an extra 20bhp or something over the mk7.5. If it was a 400bhp car as was originally mooted then you could justify the additional 9 grand... maybe just... I remember when the R emerged at £30k and everyone was astounded, and now it's nearly 40k. It's not a premium feeling fast hatch product like a Merc or a BMW. It could be a mistake for VW, esp in the current climate and with no lease deal to generate any kind of sales.

The new S3 is £38k, I’d imagine the R will be slightly less, still a big increase over the 7 though, I bought a brand new 5 door in 2015 for £28k.

Hold on, Golf R’s look cheap but the 4 series doesn’t? I’ve owned plenty of BMWs in my time and love them but even I will say the 4 series definitely doesn’t look “expensive” in what is obviously going to be lease-spec (chrome and shopping trolley wheels) in fact it looks rather cheap. The Golf looks like a premium car with the widely optioned 19 inch wheels.

In terms of looking expensive, the C class coupe leaves it for dead:

C220d AMG Line

420i M Sport

M Sport Pro sharpens up the looks on the outside but drives up the price massively, whereas the Merc just looks like that with no options.

Moot point, but those aren’t the standard wheels on the Merc, those are optional alloys...
