My brother got his 320i on a 6 + 35 at £310 a month in late 2019. Only options were mineral grey and sun protection glass. Personally I find the colour a bit boring and tried to push him to get portimao blue, stunning colour in flesh. Also bare in mind they're not the best on fuel and x-drive will further hinder that.

Congrats on the Golf R! I'm also looking to get one hopefully next year! How are you finding the car overall compared to the A35? Power wise etc.
Went for Lapiz blue as not keen on black or white. So far have only done about 10 miles in it so no comments as yet other than:1) Seems better built than the Merc
2) Dash/ infotainment is even more complex than the Merc (and that's saying something). Spent an hour last night configuring the car with the help of a friend who works in VW UK press fleet.
3) Not as noisy as the Merc - which I will miss

Golf R update - new lease arrived on time this morning and as specified (metallic blue and heated front seats) supplied by Hollie at Lister VW at Stratford Upon Avon. Funded by VWFS on 3+23 for 10k per annum at £417 per month. Very pleased with Hollie and Listers
Mine is being delivered on Thursday! Also noted the deal via this thread in Jan and ordered through Hollie at Lister. Mine arrived with the dealer about a month ago, but I also delayed delivery to suit current lease going back.Hey guys, looking to lease for the first time - Q2 s-line s tronic - and done enough research to know what looks like a good deal or not.
What I would be interested to know though is whether or not deals tend to be better at the beginning of the quarter or not? This Q2 was about £45 PM less 2 weeks ago so I'm thinking to hold out

The Santander offers on the XC40 look tempting. Anyone placed an order without a Santander 123 account or is it a must have?
Definitely not a requirement. I just picked up the phone and placed an order. If anyones interested attached quotes are for the Inscription
My XC90 that arrived last week had a short lead time of about 3 months hoping the lead time will be a little longer
Could I please have some thoughts on this please?
Bear in mind delivery is supposedly achievable within 2 weeks or so.
Octavia IV 1.4 hybrid se-l dsg
36 months £309.50pm
24 months £351.95pm
This includes metallic colours such as Petrol Blue.
Price is net.
£15 cheaper on the 36 month profile if defaulting to the hideous Energy Blue.
P11d is £33150.
I calculate the 24 month deal (including the extra for metallic)to be about 25% of the p11d value.
Sounds very reasonable at this time I think.
Can anyone confirm?
Thanks

Thanks. Is this from Santander? And is it auto or manual? Considering this for the Mrs who will be on maternity leave for a year from December so looking to get something for her to lug two kids around in.

Yep from Santander. If you drop them an email they should be able to provide quotes for the Auto.My XC90 that arrived last week had a short lead time of about 3 months hoping the lead time will be a little longer
I got some quotes from Santander yesterday if it's of interest to anyone, with metallic in brackets and all auto;
Leads times of September onwards for the XC40 and CX5, October/November for the XC60.
Mrs Dexter likes the CX5 in soul red but I don't think I can bring myself to fork out nearly £400pm for one!!!

- XC60 B5 R-Design £437.35 (£457.87)
- Mazda CX5 Sport £368.66 (£386.10)

RE: CX-5 Green4Motors have a CX-5 Kuro Edition for £2000 down and £288 PM on PCP. Think you can choose between the Soul Red and Grey they do.

I'm very tempted by the XC40 too. Never considered it as always thought it would be too small but it seems bigger than it looks, if that makes sense! Only thing is I'd probably add at least Android Auto so the price then quickly climbs.
Thanks for the CX5 link, I'll take a look.
Have one arriving this week too from Stoneacre ordered on the posted special deals in March/April
