You could still be paying £250 a month for a golf R if you did.
Might not suit you, but might suit others.
Yeah and covering the out of warranty borkage and major service costs... that doesn't suit anybody, it also rockets those "£250" costs.Might not suit you, but might suit others.

Could I please have some thoughts on this please?
Bear in mind delivery is supposedly achievable within 2 weeks or so.
Octavia IV 1.4 hybrid se-l dsg
36 months £309.50pm
24 months £351.95pm
This includes metallic colours such as Petrol Blue.
Price is net.
£15 cheaper on the 36 month profile if defaulting to the hideous Energy Blue.
P11d is £33150.
I calculate the 24 month deal (including the extra for metallic)to be about 25% of the p11d value.
Sounds very reasonable at this time I think.
Can anyone confirm?
Thanks
I was quoted £100mth less than this from Skoda directly (on both 24 and 36mth profiles) when I ordered my Octavia replacement (Kamiq) a few weeks ago - seems expensive to me Bear in mind delivery is supposedly achievable within 2 weeks or so.

You're right - I'd forgotten the "fact" that all cars blowup the day they are 1096 days old (1097 if there's a leap year)
Little known fact for you:Most cars will require a major service in the timeframe of year 3 to year 4. Depending on the car that could run you in to £750+ territory. Tyres, brakes, discs almost certainly become likely costs. Then there's the unknown risk factor.
When you average out even the known costs it simple isn't worthwhile when you're then driving around a 3 year old car. You're missing the point of leasing.

I've just signed up for a 4 year lease on an Octavia vRS. As above it was the only way to get vaguely palatable payments.
4 year warranty added about a fiver to the monthly figure.
My current car is a 3 year and I still like it so would have extended if the price was any good, but it wasn't.
What were the terms/price and where from?4 year warranty added about a fiver to the monthly figure.

Petrol DSG
Standard colour (silver) with variable boot floor and 4 year warranty as options.
8k per year (excess miles 8p I think)
Simpsons Skoda in Preston.

A week after receiving the Kodiaq:
Still cannot set the primary user. Skoda customer services is pants, it takes a minimum of 48hrs for them to reply to any emails. The fixes they have sent have not worked and i have been advised to take the motor into my local dealership.
'Home' button - why does this take me to an option to add more widgets? I have to click home twice to go to the home screen.
Have managed to get a stone chip in the windscreen already
But the vehicle itself is very nice, loads of head turners, even though it is just a Skoda!

Not a simple process, but after some extreme fiddling I got mine working, including the iPhone app for unlocking etc. Happy to chat outside this thread, but the key step was creating a Skoda Connect account before configuring the car, and when in the car making sure the privacy settings were sufficiently loose enough.Still cannot set the primary user. I'm taking it into a Skoda dealer tomorrow. They did sau it should connect, but to activate all the features (horn/light flash etc) you have to go in and produce ID and they will activate. Had no idea this was a requirement.

Hi all, first time posting here and have never leased before. Looking for a car that can munch the miles and I've come across this offer.
Skoda Octavia - 2.0 TDI SE Technology
1 + 47
15k Miles per year
£263.33 per month
Would this be considered a good deal or would it be worth waiting around a bit longer for car prices to steady themselves out a bit?
Hi there, imo this looks quite good but 4 years may be too much, mind sharing the link or dealer? thanksSkoda Octavia - 2.0 TDI SE Technology

I've spent far too long trying to sort this! Reset to factory settings, deleted accounts, re-downloaded app etc, still can't connect.

Don't be surprised if they can't actually do it for you. Not all dealers have the software license to activate the lock/unlock features. I wasted half an hour of my life at Lookers Salford before I learned that. Even though they told me over the phone they could sort it. In the end I sorted it with Skoda customer services via email. Had our first VAG lease delivered on Friday, a Cupra Formentor. Really like the car so far, on looking through the menus I spotted the oil service countdown is just dashed out and that the inspection service is in 690 days, which would be 2 years since the car was built and not 2 years from delivery and will mean we will have to service it 6 weeks before it goes back, is this right ? as obviously I would prefer not to have to carry out the inspection service and in previous cars the service due date has been 1 or 2years from the pdi/delivery, Cheers.

With most leases being 5k/year, or 8k/year, that is total nonsense. Unless you regularly track your leased Skoda.

Depending on your driving pattern, you might be able to do oil and inspection together. You can also return car earlier to avoid service, assuming it makes financial sense. You right about inspection being 2y from production date. Just checked that on day counter for my car. Strange system.
I've never leased, but typically now that I'm considering it, the deals appear to be nowhere near what they were years ago.
Do we think they'll stay that way or that when we finally get out of Lockdown once and for all, that the market will shift?
My take on it is that whilst there's still so many working from home, that the market will favour the manufacturer vs consumer?

Should be on variable servicing anyway? In which case the service day/mileage countdown will change depending on how you drive and the type of journeys you do. So I've got a Kodiaq coming on a Leasing Options, delivery 30th June and I may now not need it (long LONG story!) so what are my options?
I think I did a 3+35 or something like that at circa £330 per month. Quartz metallic grey with pano roof and Canton sounds. I also think I gave them a grand deposit.
Can I lunch it? Or if someone wants it can I transfer it? I have NO idea.
