I don't know what I'm going to be charged yet by Leaseplan - basically, both front alloys needed a refurb (but they were diamond-cut and the consensus was that Leaseplan probably have a flat charge for an alloy that will be lower than what it would cost me to get a diamond-cut wheel re-done), and two marks on the door shuts which the inspector said will machine polish out, so I don't know if I'll get charged for those.
There were two smallish dents (car park door dings) in the car which I think the guy missed because it was raining, total inspection took about 20 minutes.
I returned my Mazda to them recently. There were two smallish dents (car park door dings) in the car which I think the guy missed because it was raining, total inspection took about 20 minutes.
I'd heard anecdotal stories about returning lease cars and a kindly inspector ignoring most of the small stuff. Unfortunately Leaseplan use contracted assessors who, whether they want to or not, have to be complete jobsworths about the whole thing and mark everything down if it exceeds Leaseplan's wear and tear guidelines to the mm.
They charged me just under £700 for pretty minor stuff (admittedly I had a couple of alloy scratches ever so slightly over the permitted wear and tear size) and other dings here and there. The guy who did it was very fair but said his hands were tied by the instructions he had on what to report. I had hoped they might have overlooked one or two of the really minor things but they basically charged for everything they could have. What's even more galling is I was some 10,000 under the permitted mileage so they'll have got back a car with more value than they might have expected. I have appealed to their better nature via email on this but have been ignored so far.

Heard back from Santander and I had asked for an 8k per annum quote. Came out at £291 for 36 months which comes to 30% for 3 years. If you do it at 2 years its 20% (although its not fair as you can't have it at that price for 2 years!)
Still going by the predicted residuals on this car which is £14k after 3 years (for some reason its only with 30k miles), it is an attractive deal.
Link to residuals: https://www.fleetnews.co.uk/car-stats/volvo-v60-20...
I have sent back a question on whether I can buy the Volvo service pack with this as I know from previous experience that Volvo servicing is expensive (£300 - £500).
Any idea why Santander have suddenly flipped all their website pricing to 'Call for price'? That's literally happened in last week or so - I was on there the other day..!Still going by the predicted residuals on this car which is £14k after 3 years (for some reason its only with 30k miles), it is an attractive deal.

Somebody said they were waiting for the new Quarters pricing. Be interesting to see what movements there are on price.gravesend46 said:

£700 is nuts! Does it tally with bvrla guidelines? I'd heard anecdotal stories about returning lease cars and a kindly inspector ignoring most of the small stuff. Kodiaq sport line spec, no additional options - that's what the deals were on. It's quartz grey. 240Cup said:
Build quality seems good however it is strange how the sills right underneath seem a little unfinished - you can actually see some sort of sealant in places on mine and almost looks like they need plastic trims on, maybe mine are missing??!
Completely normal, mine had it too. Its under seal just seeping outilikejam said:

3 Months upfront
than 35 months at £260.40 for 8k miles a year which might be 2 much for me as i have only done 12kmiles in the last 3 years
On Kodiaq deals - the £301 prices were a Q1 deal through leading options iirc
I've seen some Kodiaq prices listed over weekend which, if legit, suggest there may be some new deals on same model coming for Q3. I've emailed couple of brokers and main dealers asking for info on Monday. Will see what happens, but I'll share here if I get a good price with admin fees reduced or anything

They were very hot on sending me the BVRLA guidelines, as was the inspector who went through each place where any 'damage' was over the limit. The rundown was as attached!
I’ve had an assessment by BCA on my S90 …they picked up scuffs on a wheel that I couldn’t feel, let alone see:
