Hi All,

Never leased a car before and in need of a smallish cheap automatic to run and came across this:
https://www.leaseloco.com/car-leasing/skoda/scala/...

Skoda Scala 1.0 TSi DSG
9+23
£1,340.60 down
£148.96 inc. VAT
10k per annum

Seems quite reasonable to me, I understand there might be a long wait and this will be a base spec car, am I correct in this?

Thanks

Hi All

I'm after a diesel Golf GTD or Audi 35 TDI (C&S Pack) Auto, but both are incredibly expensive, so I'm about to sign on the following instead:

A3 - S Line - 35 TFSI Auto - C&S Pack - Daytona Grey
2 Years
273.31 x 23, 1 x 2459 = £8,700ish over 2 years.

Before I do, I wanted to check if anyone had seen a better price for this?

I chased the GTD deal on leaseloco (3 years, 10k miles) but they are stock cars coming through and I'm after a car with rear camera.

Thanks in advance.
Hi mate, I was looking for the exact same spec on the A3 and was wondering where you managed to find your deal. Seems a decent offer

Indicative value £44,695
36 months PCH

£447.94 (inc VAT) per month

Would likely add in metallic paint for roughly £20 extra a month.

All within my budget.

Does this seem decent price?

I think I missed the boat on the m135i deals, but after being offered a decent price for my current m140i that leaves me with a massive chunk of positive equity from the pcp deal I was on I'm after a replacement. The new m135i (whilst not RWD / 3.0 goodness) still seems to tick most of my boxes and puts me back in a warrantied car etc.

I saw a deal for a stock car (3-4 week delivery) advertised at the following which turned out to be a mis price:

m135i Tech + Pro Pack (base alpine white paint)
9+35
8,000 pa
Fully maintaned

£364/m inc. VAT

Their actual quoted price is now:

m135i Tech + Pro Pack (metallic paint)
9+35
8,000 pa

Fully maintaned: £420/m inc. VAT
Non maintaned: £388/m inc. VAT

He's checking if the car comes with the BMW service pack (a lot of the stock lease cars seem to) so I'd still be tempted at £388 as probably at most I'd need to put a set of tyres on the car over the 3 years which will likely cost a lot less than the extra £32 a month for the maintenance.

Has anyone seen any better deals than this around? The Arnold Clark ones etc. mentioned previously seem to be finished now and anything from BMW themselves is being quoted at a January at best delivery and possibly without the HK audio from the pro pack.
4 year deals (8k pa) are £340 on vehicle savers currently for Factory orders on a 1+47. Check out leaseloco.

https://www.leaseloco.com/car-leasing/bmw/1-series...

Worth seeing how cheaply you can get PCP too. BMW dealers are know to go down to 20% off, and at 3% APR May work out well as the extras will raise your GFV, and thus not up monthlies too much.

I leased the golf GTD special offer from Hitachi that is going about.

I have chased up my broker regarding delivery date and was told prior to order that it could by July / August. Then upon order I was told September.

I am worried this could slip again but was wondering if anyone else has ordered and has been told a delivery estimate?

We had our last 3 pcp as they worked out cheaper from our local main dealer snd they weren’t remotely interested in budging on lease or pcp price this time to keep our custom!
Worth a shot of course, but not worth counting on.

Word on the street is they have been delayed until October. If it was one of the factory order secured stock GTDs you mean. I think the deadline for it to be registered was end of September, I assume they're going to have to keep the discount in place until those cars have been delivered.

I would ask your broker for another update. Who did you use?

Looks good - but you can always use LeaseLoco to do a bit of price comparison https://www.leaseloco.com/car-leasing/volvo/xc60/2...

I tend to agree, however with the two on the door, they are dents with broken paint - so basically chips inside dents. According to the FWaT guide, "Dents.... are acceptable provided .... the paint surface is not broken. Chips within dents are not acceptable". I'm tempted to touch them up and leave them as dents whereby I should be OK.

Plus, the car will have nearly 80,000 on it when it goes back.
Still sounds like reasonable wear to me for an 80k car but i know what you mean about being on the safe side. for reference, VWFS were charging £110 per door for repair - didn't matter if it was a stone chip or a deep long scratch, its a flat fee, so at worst that's what you would be looking at - i'd still argue at the time its far for the age and mileage.
You maybe lucky and get a reasonable vehicle collector - we had 2 that went around the car with the finest tooth comb for an hour to come up with my damage report

I have ordered a Hyundai Tucson Estate 1.6 TGDi Hybrid 230 Premium 5dr 2WD Auto via Dreamlease.

48 months
£2,000 down and £305pcm (x47)
10k miles
Dark Knight colour (which I think is added extra as metallic)
I was just looking through their website and couldn't find anything on the Tucson, maybe the prices have changed with the new quarter.

I did notice they have some stock BMWs which is something you don't see every day!

I thought this might interest the forum, they've got 330e Tourings in stock! I'd love a touring, but I don't know what kind of transition it would be from my 840i, I know it's a hell of a different car. Anyway - here's some links, I had a look on Leasing.com and they seem the cheapest, which is always a good start.

Touring
https://dreamlease.co.uk/deals/car-leasing/bmw/3-s...

Saloon
https://dreamlease.co.uk/deals/car-leasing/bmw/3-s...

They have a 330i as well, but I don't know if that would be good for anyone on here. Not sure how they fare against the previous deals, but as they're in stock thought they might be of interest!
Not sure if these were of use to anyone, hopefully they were. I've just had another look at the 330i which they have in stock, it's actually quite a lot cheaper than I was expecting (compared to others on leasing.com). https://dreamlease.co.uk/deals/car-leasing/bmw/3-s...

What would the advantages be over a 330e? Is the 330e that much more economical?

I thought this, I've had 3 lease cars now and thinking how much I would have saved not having them serviced. literally no one would if it was £50
I would definitely service a lease car, just in case of any repercussions on handback? If I missed the service completely and the engine blew up a month before handback (and within warranty), the dealer would just say we can't fix it as you've voided the warranty, surely.
Yep. It greatly concerns me that folks would even think this behaviour is ok purely based on the reason why a car needs a service in the first place. Quite irresponsible especially if unsuspecting passengers are being driven around by such in a potential death trap. What has this planet come to ? I suspect simple oil checks at home are out of the question. Such rules/low penalty charges are are just pure stupidity as well.
I do recall a time when it was a good thing to purchase an ex fleet vehicle but its seem to have turned a full 180. Madness

FFS calm down man. No car is going to turn into a death trap just because the local dealer hasn't changed the oil and filters on a <3yr old car - which is what basically happens on a service these days.

(Not that I'm advocating missing our services - it's just that to suggest the above "death trap" scenario is just silly)

I’ll likely go ahead with this as been searching for a while and seems to be a good fit for what I’m looking for at a fair price.

For those who have dealt with Santander123 for PCH, what was your experience in dealing with them compared to others? Any issues to be aware of?

Also, random question but I’ve always gone through actual car dealerships, etc. If I go with Santander, what appears on the registration plate under the car registration as preferably would like to avoid advertising to everyone that I’ve got a car “on lease” as there are some judging people out there as some of you will be aware!

A service includes an inspection of suspension, brakes, tyres, exhaust, belts etc and isn’t just fluid changes.

You would void warranty, you could void insurance….

However unlikely it might be that a missed service means the car is a death trap, it could mean that.

When I had one of those absurdly cheap V90CCs from them they were really good to deal with. Had a dedicated guy to answer any queries and keep me updated.

I was asked to nominate a dealer and the car came direct from the dealer with 'normal' dealer plates on. There was no difference in my eyes between being an owner or a lessee.
