Anyone gone ahead with one of those Lexus deals? Just noticed some of the cheaper rates all went up earlier today by about £30 a month.
Not sure where that leaves anybody with a quote but looks like if you try and proceed you will get credit searched so worried they will then stick the price up.
Yep just checked my quote and it seems it’s increased by £30 per month. No longer the great deal that it was before - whether the monthly rates have just gone up or the deal did not exist in the first place - we’ll never know.
My quote from Leasing options still shows the old price £396.47 monthlies (10k miles, 1+35, non-metallic black, Lexus NX premium pack with Link Pro 14" screen). Quote is valid until 24/09.
Actually you are right - 24th Sept too. Though it also says the quote is not contractual and subject to change. Keen to understand if they will honour this - £318 on a 6+35 8k miles Premium pack / Lexus Pro. Non metallic paint
Leasing options called me to say the Lexus NX price has gone up after I sent the application in yesterday. They are now offering the same as what’s listed on LeaseLoco Guess I waited too long. frown

I was in the same dilemma but just placed an order for the V60 for March delivery when my Cupra goes back. I had a V90 before the Cupra which I loved. My only concern is the spec of this V60 is far below what I had on the V90, but needs must at the moment!
My V90 is due back in next few weeks, and given issues I had with one of the ECUs that randomly make entire infotainment crash and reboot, plus random sensor triggers that preceded that, I went for Rav4 to try something else. But my temptation also comes from the type of journeys I do, as most of it its commutiing and I am bound to be stuck in traffic so will enjoy the free, electric only mileage lol that will save on fuel.. MPG on V90 is dreadful haha I've been oscillating between 27-30mpg on mixed A roads and in town commute. On a trip to Belgium I managed 43mpg on a long motorway run which was nice.
Having said that, V90 is still a lovely car overall, plenty of space and joy to drive on long trips.
I would expect V60 to be smaller than Rav4 too, at least where it mattered to me (I had taken a tape measure to compare to V90 lol and its a little smaller). V60 is next platform size down so it will be either comparable size or smaller.

Are prices still mental? I extended my current car until January at a good price but thinking ahead to order a new car.

Sorry haven’t been back in the thread for a number of days.

204 ehybrid V2 1+35 6k per year for £373 a month. That includes metallic paint. Intelligent car leasing is the broker (£250 fee) but the finance is ALD and it’s taken about 2”3 weeks to get the finance approved for some unknown reason!
Appreciate the reply. ????

The best I could find was 1 x 48 10k per year for £376 a month with express car leasing.
But that was with standard white. Took the deal to my local Seat dealer and he came back with £393 but I think there may be room for a bit of negotiation on that. He also said metallic paint could be negotiated as the residual value would be greater than without.
Drove the 245 version and it ticked all the boxes so I’m hoping the 204 doesn’t feel underpowered in comparison!
Yeah I couldn’t find anything better than that. Intelligent car leasing seemed to be the best - I found a couple pretty close or just under on price but they were all 48 month and when I switched to 36 the price went way over, so I was happy to go with theirs.

Only issue I had was getting the finance approved. Passed the credit check, they asked for wage slips. Provided them, they asked for bank statements. Provided them, they then rejected me. Broker said he couldn’t understand why. He went back to them, couple of weeks went by and I assumed it had fallen through. Broker even came back to me with Tucson deals, then all of a sudden I was approved!

So now just trying to make my mind up about committing on it. I think the only thing stopping me is I’m slightly concerned about the size of the boot. I’m trying to tell myself that I’m just being silly. We rarely fill the boot but I’m coming from an Arteon which has a cavernous boot so 350ish litres feels pokey. On the flip side, the Tucson is a much bigger car with just over 600l boot space - not as pretty or quick, but nice… need to make my mind up!

Service is due for my bmw 4 series.

For those who lease cars regularly, do you have to get it serviced from the main dealer or could it be any 3rd party VAT registered mechanic?

The prices went up last Friday (10th) so unless you were in before then you would not get the original price and even then it might not have gone through. I got confirmation the other day they wouldn’t honour the original quote (financier not the broker)

Anyone know if it is possible for Person A to take out a lease, but then Person B actually be the main driver of it, and the person who insures it? Reason I ask is due to living in Northern Ireland and some of the Lease Companies now not leasing to customers over here. My folks could take out the lease, I pay them the montly rental etc, and I go and insure it and drive it. Legal? Illegal? Breaking contract Ts&Cs maybe?

Thanks.
Just to advise, took out a lease for my father as a gift really.

Lease is in my name, insurance policy is in my name BUT the main driver is my father.

You must have the insurance in the person who took out the lease since that's where the financial interest lies. So in your case Person A takes the out the lease, Person A must insure it since they have the financial interest and Person B is declared as the main driver.

Luke, I am your father biggrin

As Luke - er sorry, Westarmy says, insured should be leaser, main driver should be the main driver.
But be aware if there is a claim, it goes on both your claim records and you both have to declare it on all other vehicle insurances come renewal time.
Also you need to check with your insurance company if you (leaser) want to use their ( main driver) NCD

They had an Q8, X7 and some Lexus coupe as the first 3 on the list before the Renault Zoe.

Probably realised pretty quickly and corrected it.

Changing to 3 year doesn't make.much of.a.difference.

We need a decent 2nd car and with used car prices at the moment, I don't mind writing off £3k which would be wasted on an (overpriced) 4-5 year old golf from autotrader.

Never really looked at Zoe prices but that sounds a lot but then I suppose 25k miles a year is a bloody lot!

Especially considering it goes back to the funder with 100k miles on the clock, which also takes it outside of warranty (5yr/100k).....that £15k for 4 years of heavy lifting doesn't actually seem too bad....?

Delivery today of my Cupra Leon VZ2 Estate e-Hybrid in Urban Silver. Thanks to ZenAuto for arranging. Happy with my £500+35 deal for £327pm with 10k miles pa.

Delighted to see it update the infotainment once registered for CUPRA Connect and find out it can do wireless Android Auto, which was unexpected but definitely appreciated.

@lovsn. Just wondered how you are getting on with this? I've ordered at the same price but am only getting 7k miles. Are you using a granny charger or have you had a 7kw installed? Is the electric range decent?
