Just looking for people's views of which cars have good seats, currently have an Audi S4 with the recaro sport seats which are great. I had a loan A4 with the normal seats which were awful.

So looking for suggestions on which cars also have good seats, plenty of adjustments and comfortable.

I have a Q5 seats are good, maybe designed for yanks! Volvo used to be second to none. One reason why a long test drive is a necessity

I did test drive a base Q3 at the same time as the Q5 and they were completely different.

SAAB seats too I recall being good in an old Saab 99 I drove for work when a 20 yr old!! Of course the don't make em now

Volvo seats take the biscuit for comfort.

My Subarus seats are very good for a mix of comfort and holding you in on track.

My current BMW 2 series is probably the most comfortable car seat I've ever had but it's all subjective.

Car before was a 2011 Volvo V60 and I didn't think the seats were anything special, not bad but I didn't think they were amazing.

Drove a Peugeot 508 this morning and I thought the seats were horrible, was glad to be back in my own car.

Avoid the last generation BMW MSport seats from a 3 or a 5 series. Awful!

Believe it or not:

TVR Chimaera. Two weeks, 3000 miles across Europe, no breakdowns (awaiting incoming on that) and not a smidge of a back complaint. 14 hour stint from Geneva to Monza was a breeze.

I fractured my spine a few years previous and every other ride bar Saabs gives me gyp. Worst was the A4 Quattro with sports seats. Almost undriveable beyond 40 mins.

Although I am a serial Scooby owner, their seats are ste. If I suddenly find myself as a multi drop delivery driver for Amazon I will need to find another 9-5, 9-3 or TVR.....

Volvo or anything French. French car seats are unbelievably comfortable but the downside is they're bolted to a French car.

Our Porsche Cayenne seats still amaze me after 6 years of driving it , bloody comfy over any distance, they’ve worn well also not a mark or tear or a worn bolster . Top job Porsche

No such thing unfortunately, they have to suit you, not other people.

Just head over to the Volvo owners forum to see the moans about the seats in the 90 series cars for example of one of the highest regarded, also I had lots of 80’s French cars with squishy seats, they are Super comfortable for an hour, but when you get out you are really stiff.

I would definitely the avoid the cheapo flat base model seats that Ford, VAG and Mercedes are so fond of though, always found the Italians and Swedes to fit better specified seats at the same price point, but they wont fit everyone.

Beware of some of the Mercedes powered seats, the basic ones adjustment is very coarse and the manually adjusted ones are easier to fine tune.

My BMW One series has been excellent, it tends to find a sweet-spot with the recline/lumbar function. I haven't moved it from day-one. My Subaru Impreza terzo was great for a sports recaro.

Standard VW/Audi seats are too hard and I find myself shifting around to prevent a numb derrier. They are also fiddly to get to the exact same position. I had a 407 that had awful seats - I ended up using a cushion to support my lower back.

I've got an MV6 omega.

Everyone that's ever been in any of the 5 seats in any omega will tell you if it's comfort you want, then you can do no better.
My wife even says that's true and she's hard to please.

I'm guessing that an elite with cloth trim and softer suspension, would be even better.

Maybe later ones aren't so good but the volvo S60 of 2004 vintage is supreme comfort when full leather.
