As for mountune yes you can still get it but there are better options out there. Mine has it, had it when I bought it and it’s good but it keeps the torque limit in the first 2 gears. Doesn’t bother me really, and the drive ability is great.

Companies like peron or Collins get a bit more out of their stage 1 maps, lose the limiter and are cheaper than Mountune.

How does the ST handle higher mileage? I see this mention of 75k in the topic and reliable.

Higher milea opens up what's available

Buy what you like mate. They’re a little ASBO but it’s for you to decide. Personally I’d avoid the lairy colours. If you want something fun, reliable and cheap to run these have got to be a great shout.

No one actually cares what you look like. People worry so much about what the neighbours think or colleagues without actually thinking what do they want?

Be secure in yourself.

People driving round in a brand new £400 a month rented Audi because they need to be seen to be able to afford one

That sounds bitter but in the UK we are obsessed with others opinions of us.

Who cares?!

Live your life.

End of rant tongue out

Something you might want to consider. A relative bought an brand new ST. It was stolen two weeks later.
In my line of work, I’ve spent many occasions chasing stolen STs.I don’t ever remember chasing a Peugeot or hearing of one getting nicked.

They are liked by car thieves yes. St3’s more so because of the keyless entry. Consensus is use a disklok, relocate the OBD and keep your keys in a faraday pouch.

Mk8 has sleepy keys from early 2019, the obd socket is disarmed if the alarm goes off and generally security is very good , unlike the mk7

Ones that do get stolen are stolen when the keys are taken in burglaries
