That’s pretty much what happened when I used Motorway ,received more than their initial valuation and pick up was a doddle, tried to use them last week and didn’t make reserve so maybe depends what the market is looking for ,it was a 2016 A class of which there plenty to be had ,would use them again though…

My brother in law just sold his 2015 Golf GTE, got a good price at the auction. Driver turned up a week later and said we can only pay you £1k less as the market has changed. He stuck to his bones and a phone call later and the correct amount was in the bank.

From experience, I recommend Cazoo.

Smooth transaction, very good offer, no messing around but this was eighteen months ago.

No, but I think they have been having a tough time.

Still active though.

Today was pick up day following the motorway auction. The dealer (Sytner group) arrived on time and checked over the car. He mentioned that two of the wheels had scuffs (which were minimal) and the front bumper had a couple of small stone chips but otherwise mentioned how nice the car was. He made a phone call and I fully expected him to haggle the price down but he didn’t and a few minutes later the full amount was in my bank and he drove away.

Most trade buyers work on a £200 of soft prep basis will all purchases to avoid having to negotiate over minor marks that should smart repair.

I've now used

We buy any car
We want any car
Motorway

I can't say I had a bad experience with any of them, WBAC was the fastest from start to finish in that the car was gone within 48 hours of the quote being given, they haggled a couple of hundred off the online quote.

We want any car, again haggled a couple of hundred off the online quote but they came to my house to buy the car so it was more convenient for me, took about a week start to finish.

Motorway, got a quote online, when I uploaded pics Motorway valued it about £150 under the initial quote and then listed it in one of their auctions, I got the agreed reserve price and the dealer came agreed it was as described and paid the full amount and took it away.

So in summary each company was fairly similar but i'd quite happily use any of them again.
