Interestingly WBAC are offering £35,280 for my 6 month old GR Yaris with 5k miles on the clock (£33,495 purchase price)... I'm not convinced you could sell it for more than that so what are they playing at?
Getting supply for Cinch. He also mentioned restricted new car supply.
Cinch sell lots of extras, called Cinch care, to pay monthly of course. They make money on these, if they dont make much on the actual car

Bought my UP GTI in May for £12.2k from a dealer
WBAC offered £12.4k last week - I offered it back to the dealer I bought it off for £12.4k which he agreed to
WBAC upped the offer to £12.7k this morning
I wont go back on my deal with the previous dealer, but what a crazy market.
I wasn't looking to sell, I like the car but selling and then leasing seems a cost-effective route at the moment
I am leasing a new Seat Mii electric for £162 a month instead
Absolutely no offence but the mii is a poor car in every way plus privately you'd have been had your door kicked in. There are NO Up GTIs out there. Its a massive future classic. WBAC offered £12.4k last week - I offered it back to the dealer I bought it off for £12.4k which he agreed to

I looked at the mii electric on an offer recently (140 10k a year) and its charge/range and interior etc left me 'flat'.
It honestly seems crazy at the moment, a few months ago my mate traded his Kuga in for an X3 as the Kuga had retained its value for 18 months, his now X3 has gone up on WBAC by £2k since June, its £200 shy of what he paid for it from a main dealer!
I personally cant see this getting back to anywhere near what we used to paid for second hand motors.

Can I quickly ask what is the mark up like from this lot, does anyone know? On average is it about the same as forecourt dealer prices?
Car is a 12k mazda cx3 for reference.

Just put my 6 yr old RRS in which I purchased from Lookers West London at the end of May. They offered me £500 more than I paid. When I purchased in May the offer was £1500 less so a shift of £2k+. Would it not be worth trawling Gumtree for tidy cars but WBAC pricing them beforehand and then flipping them to WBAC.

They have a contractual clause that you have to have owned the car for three months on the v5c so you can’t just buy it one day and sell the next. Gamble on where the price goes over 3 month period lizardbrain said:

As Cinch is part of WBAC put the reg number in and that will tell you the mark up....Can I quickly ask what is the mark up like from this lot, does anyone know? On average is it about the same as forecourt dealer prices?

Already bought - arriving Tuesday! How long till Amazon Prime sell cars? Bad choice of words on my part asking about mark up. I just meant to ask how much more expensive it is to buy the same car on cinch, versus a large dealer. Moot point now really. To contribute my own car to the thread, WBAC is offering me 46.8k for my Tesla, bought for 48k two years and 15k miles ago!
I'm not sure if cars have gone up, or money has gone down, but I'm starting to regret not spanking all my spare cash on any non cash assets I could find 2 years ago .

Which is cutting their nose off to spit their face if they want stock, no other dealer/trader would be bothered. griffter said:
In my recent experience WBAC are beating all comers at the moment. I wonder how long it will last. Will September reg affect things? The end of summer? Or will it just go on and on?! I cashed in while the going was good!
This is the issue, due to restricted supply there wont be many new registrations.Spoke to local audi dealer (Coulsdon Audi) he said at the moment they have 10 non-audi cars on their forecourt and he can see it getting to the point where the non-audis are the majority of their forecourt as cant get cars.

I was offered my old lease 5008 for £18k in November last year, I sent it back but was just curious to the price and had no intention of buying it, just put it in WBAC and its at £22.5k, that would have been a good buy in the end.Sadly my mini is at £960 that I paid £2k for last October.

I've noticed this. Local Honda dealer selling all sorts and I have never seen anything but Honda's on their plot for the last 10 years I have lived nearby. My local mercedes dealer has a huge forecourt, normally over flowing with cars. Currently I would guestimate 70% of their forecourt is empty. Bonkers.
