Well seems as its such a wait for a factory build, i have managed to find a dealer with a 21 plate "Pre Reg" in very nice spec:
Twisted Orange
Custom Pack 2
Rear Spoiler
Magna-Ride

Up for £46,600, which seems pretty good value since its available. They have provisionally offered me £26K PX for mine which doesn't seem too bad, as i know WBAC will find bits to knock off the £27K!!

Have paid a £100 holding deposit, and am off to have a discussion tomorrow!!

Shame its in sodding Peterborough, which is a 3H drive!
Ah TCH ford they always used to be way out on price.
They where very reasonable (the least pushy dealership i have ever used!), they knocked £100 off for a very badly curbed wheel, which was fair enough. They found some corrosion just starting to bubble on both front wings - which they agree'd they attempt to claim from ford as full ford service history.
They were not interested in any stone chips etc, as its a used car!

So have offered £25,900 for mine which i am happy with. I suspect WBAC would have knocked it back to at-least this figure anyway.

Just waiting for the finance to get accepted (the wait is excruciating!), then this baby will be mine!

Sold my audi last week. Last year WBAC offer was c9k. Now up to 10.5k. I ebayed it in the end got 11.5k and after the auction ended I was inundated with messages asking if it fell through they would pay full end price. The high bidder turned up the next morning like a shot.

I think we are at the top of used car prices so decided to get rid while the going is strong and sales are easy. I plan to buy something else just before Christmas time, and hopefully the market will have calmed down.

The cars I have been looking at are c.27-30k and I looked today and they are now 30k-33k so its effecting everything right now.

OT but rumour has it the estate across the road is on the payroll to stop damage happening to cars and bits going missing.

Used market has been on the rise for a few months now but seems to have really kicked into overdrive now the showrooms are reopened. Personally think this is a bubble so if you can afford to be without a car for a few months you could be in a strong position. For those thinking of selling as prices re high then remember that all prices are high so unless you are buying new you are unlikely to be quids in...

I sold my daily driver (Evoke) to them a couple of weeks ago.

Price just kept going up and up over the last few months to the point where I got a shade under £20k, for a 7 year old car!! Crazy.

As mentioned though everything else has gone mental too, so just private purchased a cheap and cheerful Toyota Yaris for now and will have a look again in 6 months time when things maybe calm down a bit.

Have to say the WBAC process was painless. First time and would deffo go back/recommend.

Exactly, most sellers are also buyers so any gains are lost when you buy. Top marks to you for playing the system to your advantage but how many Evoque drivers would swap it for the shame of driving a cheap supermini for a year or so?!

6 months later its up nearly 4k. (Still not tempted smile)

On the other hand, I did the same with my shed . It's went from 890 to to 650. frown

That looks epic in that colour!

Looking to sell my M6 via WBAC as it isn’t being used and the price is now only £4K less than when I bought it 2.5 years ago. Trying to hold out until the end of the month as I’m using it when on holiday week after next.

Checking prices every day, been stable for last few days. However other cars in the family have dropped £500 today. 2019 520d & 2019 M140i.

Have we reached the peak?!

I think if restrictions continue to lift and some travel abroad becomes possible to places like Spain then the prices of cars will start to cool. If we see things stay as they are now and no new countries added to the green list I can see prices staying firm.

A poster a page or so back made a very valid comment.

Maybe they are frantic buying at the moment to build up stock levels for Cinch?

It could all end once stock levels are up to what they want.

Thing is Junes Cap clean trade book price will jump reflecting the huge rises throughout May so expect further price increases to come.

I put a Fabia into WBAC last week, CC was £5700

WBAC bid £6500 and I got a local dealer to pay the 6500

So yes, I think it needs to catch up a bit.

Just tried mine, 2019 Civic Type R I bought for £27,500 last November, WBAC offered £28,300. Strange times.
This is getting silly now, just updated my quote and it's now £29,625. Wtf??

2 weeks ago my friend was going to sell his Golf R to the local VW dealer for £29,000

WBAC bid £31,000 so for fun he took it along to them.

They bought it, and didn't try to knock him down.

beer

Good to hear.

That ridicules peoples comments that they're too much money for a "scene tax" when they make you a profit.

Well i completed on the new Mustang the other day, and loving my new toy driving

I see the dealer has already put my PX up on their website for £30K, so if it sells for this the buyer will have paid the same as i did 2 years and 26K miles ago!!

Was quite impressed with the dealer who managed to tax the car for 12 months + 1 week, so that i didn't loose the first months part of the £2300 1st year's car tax! Was not aware this was possible, apparently only dealers car request it.

And both next to each other smile

Lovely looking car, you didn't go for the body stripes this time though?

What are the big differences with the new one?

Just sold my X3 35d to them this morning. Had a p/x offer about a month ago from BMW of £21,300; WBAC gave me £26,500. Very happy with that.
