Something fun circa £15k
Discussion
Two and a half years into VX220 Turbo ownership and fancying a change - have a track day coming up which I will take the VX on then likely move it on. Previously had a 350z, NA VX220, R33 Skyline, Celica GT4 and now this and fancy moving onto something else. A few requirements:
Not looking for something that will depreciate, so at the bottom or on the upward slope of that curve
Something with AC...definitely need AC after 8 hours on the M1 in blistering heat in the VX
Something with a bit of rarity, I dont want to default to a Boxster
Circa £15k, really depends on the VX and how much I get for it, prices are all over the place at the moment
I am drawn towards picking up a mk2 TT RS. I am not much of a fan of hot hatches. I have a family of car mechanics so can get lots of work done labour free.
Any left field ideas appreciated...

Got a Qashqui for the run around jobs, but when on road trips etc. VX is tough work and takes the edge off the enjoyment when you are not enjoying the driving and sat on busy A roads and motorways. Ive had 5 years total VX ownership so done my dues there. Im also approaching 50 and could do with something a bit more livable.

Understood.I like the Caymans, sports car with a luxury edge. Especially if you get one with the extended leather (Dash & full door cards)
And of course the flat six howl.
Running costs/repairs could be very high if you're unlucky.
Another one I enjoyed driving was the Abarth 124, although I see the prices have crept up on them so might struggle right now for 15k
It's basically an MX-5 in a different dress, with a turbo engine, silly exhaust, LSD, Brembo brakes, Bilstein suspension, and rarity.
The exhaust is too farty for some, but it's good to drive, and lots of people give positive comments when out and about.
Let us know what you eventually get.
