Advice What Car
Discussion
Hi,
So currently driving a 2013 Audi A7 Black Edition, Daytona Grey, love it but it’s coming up to 98,000 miles.
Looking for next car but struggling massively, got max 18,000 to play with, needs to be four door and the great thing about Audi is isofix, in the the front. Have a disabled child who likes to sit in front. And the Audi you switch front airbags off with a key
Would have another A7 but prices are crazy and looking would only get same year less mileage.
Like the 640d but just not sure.
Any ideas

Firstly as long as you've looked after the car then 98k isn't something to be worried about, so why not keep it?
With the market the way it is you'll only be looking at a 2015 for a Premium brand & I don't see that as worth the change.
BUT if you want to change then there's the CLS which does have front Isofix:

I have a 640d (albeit the convertible with no real rear space) as my daily and I love it. Really nice engine and handling for such a big barge and I find very relaxing on a long motorway drive but it is still fun in sport gearbox mode in the twisties if I'm in the mood.So currently driving a 2013 Audi A7 Black Edition, Daytona Grey, love it but it’s coming up to 98,000 miles.

Cheers, the CLS had caught my eye, car seriously well looked after, may be an option just worried it will lose more value after 100k
It’s not 1984 anymore, cars don’t explode on 100,001 miles nor do they lose more money than usual depreciation.Your car is already on 98k and you know it’s history, so if all is good and not likely to throw any big bills, why change for an older car? As others have said, the market values are crazy at the moment, so better off keeping what you have until they settle down a bit or up your budget to get something newer with lower mileage

The issue is won’t the A7 lose a real chunk of value 100k miles and over?
So are you hoping to find a buyer that doesn't realise 98k is only a bit less than 100k? (Kind of) joking aside, I'd love it if somebody with time on their hands could trawl through Autotrader, pick a few different models with a decent number for sale, and do a plot of mileage:cost for each of them, just to see if there is any truth in the 'value falling of a cliff at 100k' thing. I suspect not but prepared to be proved wrong. Gassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
