Hi.
Looking for gap insurance. Cheapest quote I’ve had is from gapinsurance.co.uk.
Anyone have any experience of this company? I’ve heard Ala being recommended, approx £50 more.
Who would you go with?
Thanks
Sometimes ALA will price match, but if you're happy with the price/service go with gapinsurance.co.uk.Looking for gap insurance. Cheapest quote I’ve had is from gapinsurance.co.uk.

Maybe check who it's underwritten by, it might be a company with a more familiar name.

I have seen on zen auto a few deals for “in stock” cars that have been registered in September this year.
They are however quoting delivery times of 7-8 weeks. Would any of you know why this would be the case? If the car is registered surely it must be built and at a dealer ready to go?
Anyone shed any light on this?
I just ordered a Cupra Leon 1.4 e-hybrid from them for a great price. From what I gathered from them, the 8-10 weeks delivery time is that the cars are either in stock (at port or warehouse) or are due to land in the UK in December/before MY22 rolls around. They are however quoting delivery times of 7-8 weeks. 128ti shows no signs of arriving any time soon, so thinking about cancelling and holding on till the new M240 is out . Any idea what the monthly payments would be on a 4 year deal at 8K?
Hi mate could you PM me. If you do end up going for something other than the 128ti, I would be interested in taking on the lease for the 128. Could you PM me what your deal was please? Squidgify said:

The only thing I don't like about these deals is the car will be 3/4 months old when it is delivered. So on a 3 year deal you're going to be out of warranty towards the end.

Most car manufacturer's warranty starts from the date of registration in your home country, so if a car lands and gets registered in the month of December 2021, that's when the warranty will start. So if you take delivery 2 weeks after landing/registration, you've only lost 2 weeks of warranty, which isn't bad at all.

Oh that would be fine but why are they quoting registration as Sep-21, Oct-21 etc? Most car manufacturer's warranty starts from the date of registration in your home country, so if a car lands and gets registered in the month of December 2021, that's when the warranty will start. I have the option to extend my lease that is due to finish in December. I have not extended before and I am being offered 10% less than what I am currently paying to extend it by 1 year (so from 2 to 3 years in total).
I know this will mean I will have to do an MOT but otherwise it seems like a no brainer in the current climate but does anyone think it is worth holding out for a better deal again? i.e. do they tend to offer better rates on the extension nearer the end of the lease or is it the other way around?
Fairly sure MOTs are only due in the 4th year.I know this will mean I will have to do an MOT but otherwise it seems like a no brainer in the current climate but does anyone think it is worth holding out for a better deal again? i.e. do they tend to offer better rates on the extension nearer the end of the lease or is it the other way around?
Anyone have any experience on the extension part? i.e. if they are likely to offer a better deal if i ask for an extension quote in Nov / Dec or is it hit and miss? I have no clue on this type of thing so grateful for any help / guidance.

Who's the lender please? VWFS or someone else? Thanks
It’s definitely not VWFS, I think but not 100pc sure she said ARVAL, they use 6 (Santander, Hitachi, Lex, ARVAL, ALD and Leaseplan). Just checked but the lender isn’t in the docs I have received so far.Cws123 said:
Hi.
Looking for gap insurance. Cheapest quote I’ve had is from gapinsurance.co.uk.
Anyone have any experience of this company? I’ve heard Ala being recommended, approx £50 more.
Who would you go with?
Thanks
Yes, currently on my third policy with them. I wrote in the previous volume about how good they were to deal with when my 6 month old Kodiaq was written off and they paid out for the £1,850 I owed the lease company + the £1,750 initial payment I had insured.Looking for gap insurance. It was actually the owner of the company that sold me the policy for my replacement lease and he took the effort to ask me about my experience with the third party company that actually sorts out the claims to see if any improvements in service could be made.
It took them 5 mins for them to accept the claim once I had submitted all the info via email. It took a further 24 hours for the claim to be approved and within a further 48 hours the money was sitting there in my bank account!
I think ALA were slightly cheaper with their 25% discount code for my quote but there's a 10% discount code for gapinsurance.co.uk which brought it to roughly the same amount and they then price matched to be exactly the same.

So if it's delivered on a 71 plate but was registered on 1st September and you take delivery on 1st November, you'll be down 2 months warranty.
