Given the fact this is supposedly in stock I thought this was ok.

I just got the exact same email. Ordered in June, looking likely July delivery.

Absolute insanity. I'm going to cancel but there's little out there in terms of alternatives.
Yeah I'm looking at cancelling but cannot find anything decent at all! Let me know if you see anything please! I've been driving arond in a banger for 6 months already, don't think I can handle another 6 lol

Hey all,

I hope you are well

I am looking at my first lease and my first car at 30. . I noticed the second hand market has gone really expensive.

I seen the below and not much of an expert on these things or cars in general.

What does everyone think of this Nissan Micra expected delivery date late march:

Well we're all going to have to re-evaluate following the effects of any EV plug in grant reductions just announced working their way through to pricing and leasing.

Depends what you’re after really. It’s pretty much the cheapest thing I’ve seen lately but it the base trim level which doesn’t even include alloy wheels.

Well well! Sounds like I’ve been lucky!
Yesterday we took delivery of the Mrs’ car: Mini Countryman Cooper S Hybrid. Ordered July for Sept delivery. Very pleased with 1. A car arriving at all, 2. the grant still valid so the price can’t be adjusted and 3. Hats off to Mini Heathrow and Alphabet for a smooth delivery.

Hey all,

Missus and I are expecting twins in March, currently got a Golf MK7 which would be a tight fit with the car seats, pram etc.

We looking at a lease for a VW Tiguan, but given the craziness of the market we probably be looking at September delivery (or maybe later!). This is our first time leasing so any tips/deals that would allow us to have it sooner.

I know it’s our fault for leaving it so late, but as twin pregnancies are high risk my missus didn’t my want to “jinx” it by getting anything in preparation of having them.

Hope this is allowed

Get onto "Lease Loco" or "What Car Leasing", and check the filter box for "In Stock", and see what pops up. In the current climate, you will struggle with a factory order on anything at the moment, including cars built in the UK which won't be subject to shipping/brexit delays.

If nothing pops up, I would email Hollie at Listers in Worcester (hollie.sharman@listers.co.uk) and ask if she knows of anything either in stock, or 'on it's way', even cancelled orders.

To be honest, i've never factory ordered any of my leases, and it all worked out just fine.....appreciating things are trickier now, as long as you don't have your heart set on a Tiguan, i'm sure you'll find yourself a half decent deal on an SUV between now and March, just keep an open mind. i.e. there were good deals on well specc'd rav4s recently....

You can get 2 into a golf ok. I did it with the mk7 golf R which has an even smaller boot than a normal golf. If you have to change then as above. Click in stock. Also worth calling some of the lease companies like cvluk and having a chat. People cancel orders all the time.

Hello all,

I've started looking for a new lease deal, and it's been a few years since I last took one out so would appreciate a bit of guidance.

As the whole supply chain has gone nuts, does that mean anything with a 'factory order' on is a lottery? And where a lease is displayed with a (e.g.) 'June Delivery', is that because they've ordered quite some time ago and so further along the queue?

Oh, and we're looking for a reasonable sized EV so if you know of any good deal then please let me know smile

Many thanks

Unless they are willing to give you a clear pre-allocated build slot/date, I would suggest anything 'factory order' into next summer will be nothing but guess work at this point. As an example, one of my work colleagues who ordered in August, has had his Discovery Sport build slot put back several times now into next year, to a point where it is now "unallocated" and LR isn't sure if it will even be built at all. I've heard similar stories across many brands, although I think the Japanese and Korean side seem to be holding up OK. Some vehicles that are coming through (namely BMW/MINI products) are doing so with certain options and extras omitted, and others are waiting outside factories to have those parts retrofitted. It's all a bit of a mess.

As per the previous post/query on this, I would suggest calling round a number of the bigger leasing companies (or indeed direct to business department of specific dealerships if you know what you want) to ask for any 'in hand' builds or indeed cancelled orders. They'll probably hang on to them for a couple of months (usually up until the end of the quarter) for you if required....

pretty sure it only effects Hybrids with a range over 80 miles on pure electric so Countryman would not have got the grant to start with. (dont think any PHEV ever really qualified)

But the main point is you got the car. So at least things are still moving

Wall Box grant ends march.

I ordered a lease id3 at beginning of November through Vanarama, still no build date as yet. Contacted them again yesterday to see if the reduction/removal of the 3.5k grant would affect me. They emailed me back today to say that they don't know as it depends on whither the dealer has applied for the grant already or not. Very unsatisfactory as i could be landed with a bill for the extra 3.5 k over the 3 years.

Are you allowed to cancel without penalty?

I can but wont be able to order another one any cheaper and i have already arranged for my "free" charger to be fitted.. Fortunately i managed to find the name of the dealer and contacted them and was pleased that they had applied for the grant when they ordered the car in November.
