My current A4 lease is due back in August 2023, half tempted to get an order in for its replacement sooner than later. Though I have to admit the perks of "cheap" leasing seems to be disappearing

Probably wise, my lease is due October 2022 and I ordered my next car in October 2021 and I highly doubt it’ll be on time!

Decent deals are few and far between, even the lease I signed up to in 2021 to arrive this year was much cheaper than what I see advertised now. That being said who knows if the car will ever get built!

Agreed, the days of relatively plentiful decent lease deals are a thing of the past. Car companies now realise producing less cars and creating a demand as opposed to pumping them out as fast as they can is more profitable. Less discounting etc.

The previous mindset was its too expensive to adjust production levels and just manufacturer at the same rate despite demand and discount off over supply. They had no choice but to change production levels through covid and now see the benefits so wont change it back.

Some companies, like Ford, have reduced support for leasing and any cars being produced for leasing companies etc sit at the bottom of the priority pile.

Just my take!

Not strictly a deal found or posted on PH, but we all like to see photos of cars we’ve all managed to secure.

I got drawn in to chasing the deal as opposed to the right car. This F56 LCI 2 John Cooper Works in Rebel Green popped up as a cancelled order a fortnight ago, whilst not the greatest of deals, it was a perfect fit for what the Mrs wanted and we were happy with the terms so went with it.

The search for a replacement car for me commences . . .

Taking delivery of a BMW 330e M Sport (+ Sun protection glass) tomorrow. In stock order through Zen, ordered 4 weeks ago

A terrible time for lease deals, but felt like the best of a bad bunch as I was getting desperate

1x35 @ £400 a month, 5000 miles (which is fine for the mileage I do)

Comparable leases on various websites coming out at £550 a month.

Cheaper here with 8k miles instead of 5k (need to contact them for 5k miles quote). No broker fee either!

Mine too, but the penalty for missing a service is £60, indie service £180, main dealer in excess of £500

Even if I'm penalised I still save a tonne.

Check your penalties for missing services or if there's one for not servicing to spec. If like mine, worst case you're still better off

I took delivery of a Skoda Kodiaq in Jun 21 and today have had a text message from my local Skoda dealer saying the vehicle is due a service soon.

I have had nothing from my lease company or Alphabet (finance company). The vehicle has done 6391 miles and there are no warning lights on the dash.

Can you tell me if i need to book the Skoda in for its first service please? SKODA KODIAQ ESTATE 1.5 TSI Sport Line 5dr DSG [7 Seat] with tyres and maintenance.

I also don't know if it's fixed (1yr) or variable (2yr) servicing. My last lease was a Tarracco and that only required a service after 2 years.

I'll contact Alphabet tomorrow; just wondering when others would get it serviced.

Check the service menu on the infotainment system, it'll tell you exactly when it's required (in miles and days). Although if your lease includes maintenance it doesn't really matter as it's all paid for anyway.

Does this not affect warranty?

Mines with alphabet, I had serviced in Jan 21 after owning for a year with around 5k on clock. It’s just done 10.5k and not had done again as nothings popped up. Going back in July anyways…

What’s the recommended way to go about searching for fleet lease deals?

I need to start looking into them at work soon as most of the existing fleet are due to go back next April. It’s a fairly small fleet of 9 cars and they were sourced through a sister company at not very great prices. Granted I had no involvement in it at the time.
