Is there a old person lease company? I want to just get my mum a new car (she keeps banging on about issues with the current), long lease, limited miles. As cheap and small as possible! TIA

I have looked on Select and leasing.com, but wondered what I could be missing.

You can search on the leaseloco website. There are presets at the top of the search. You can filter to small and economic.

That Volvo deal looks good if it’s real

I’ve put an order in today for one of the Cupra leon vz1 245hp today in standard white. Works out about £50 a month over the two year term than I currently pay for an A5 sport back but those deals are gone now and it seems reasonable.

The wife fancied a small hot hatch next, we were toying with a fiesta st however I was worried it might be a bit small so the Leon seems a better fit. Let’s hope delivery is towards the back end of the 26-38 week delivery estimate as the audi isn’t due to go back til January.
Strongly suspect it’s not - already pulled and doubt I’ll hear anything from my enquiry!

Enjoying my A5 Sportback too, but I’ve been told it’s a “stupid car” and instructed that the next one needs to be more family friendly. Back to the hunt!

As soon as I saw the model details it raised a red flag, Volvo changed all their model configurations months ago, this configuration no longer exists, I currently have an XC40 B4 Inscription which I leased in December 2020, at the time this cost me 6+23 @£370.00 for 8K per year. I checked today and the nearest equivalent would cost me approx upfront £4.4K and then 23 @ £736 per month for 8K per year!!

Has anyone that ordered a Kia Sportage in the recent deals had any update? My June delivery just got delayed to November.
I ordered a Sportage HEV GT line in early March and was given an initial delivery date of July. My provider (Embrace) contacted me last week to tell me it was now expected to land at the dealership week commencing May 16th and to ask if I was prepared to take it before July.
I'm still not banking on it but it'd been nice if it were here before the summer holidays.

Not in the market, but saw this and thought it looked decent for a big old bus. Like the look of these.

Ordered an HEV GT Line poverty spec in mid March - chased Jet last week and they said the dealer had confirmed it was imminent- but I’m not confident !

I ordered Cupra Ateca VZ3 in October'21, via ukcarline. Got confirmation that it was being built last week, with delivery in June'22. Hopefully it's true. That would make it 8 months leadtime, which is surprising in this climate.

6 months left on a 1+23 Xceed deal with Stoneacre. Looking around prices are crazy so will ask for a extension price. Whats the difference between formal / informal quote ? And which should I ask for (first) ?
I've the same car so welcome you sharing your extension price
I'm on 9+23 £105
Nothing comes close so far.
Car due back mid July. Informal extension agreed at same price £197 up to 6 months.
Have you got the contact details for this please. My daughter is having no joy getting hers extended. TIA.

I just called the Kia / ALD customer service number 0344 600 0012 in my contract paperwork and asked about extending.
They've sent an email confirming. All terms same, mileage pro rata etc.
I'm on a 1+23 deal from Stoneacre Wallasey, model ISG3 premium white paint with servicing £197 a month.
Price for 6 months is a tiny bit different £5.42 + VAT per day. Can hand back at any point with 5 days notice.
Thanks very much 👍

Is it only me, or has everyone noticed all fancy lease deals have gone up by 50%????

320 bought in March ‘20 works out £13k total. Now about £19k.
745e from July ‘21 is £26k total. Now about £42k +…

Surely, GFVs have not gone down overnight, and interest rates that are on the way up would not be responsible for such a price hike?

The 320 is up in March next year, and with the average lead time of about 9 months, it is time that I started to look around, but unless a Golf, or a Nissan, anything BMW / Audi / Volvo has made itself look unachievable.

Welcome back the good old days of Hire Purchase???

Ordered a Vz2 through carline, also in October. Hopefully I'll hear about mine soon.

I have a question on insurance on lease deals.

Do people put the registered owner and registered keeper of the car as 'the leasing company'?

I've been looking at insurance for a leased Tesla Model Y.

- If I put the leasing company as owner and keeper, the insurance comes out as £3,200.

- If I put the owner as leasing company, and myself as registered keeper, then I get a price of £1,000.

Has anyone else seen this difference? or could advise me why thats the case?
Seen a really good Tesla deal, but the insurance difference / cost is putting me off

Did you test drive a brand new 2022 T-Roc. I have been told there is none available for test drive.
No this was last spring, so a 2921 model. It felt like I was inside. An old 1990s polo coupe interior wise and there Jist wasn’t enough go and pull on acceleration.
I don’t know whether my thought process kept bringing me back to BMWs and the whole feel of them or Jist how much better their acceleration is because of coming from 2.0 engines.
Either way I wouldn’t be in a hurry to go into a VW after having a BMW or Merc again. Hopefully you can test drive any 1.5 VW or look inside the TRoc, but I think you will know what I’m getting at. Thank goodness our new BMW is arriving this week, it’s been a very very long wait!
Sounds like badge snobbery to me.

Yes the old T-Roc interior wasn't great but they drive really nicely. The interior of the new 2022 model is far superior, but as far as I know there are none in the country as yet. I have a new T-Roc R on order that's not expected until August - One of a batch of 200 to kick off the model properly. This will be everything the Golf R is in terms of power/fun but hopefully without the "nickability".

You are the registered keeper of the car and the leading company is the owner.

This is incorrect, it would be the case for HP/PCP yes but not for PCH. In this case the lease company are the owner and the keeper.

If this is the case, does everyones insurance increase 3x fold when changing the 'keeper' to the leasing company?

Online forums are saying there should be no difference, but for me, a £2k difference is massive!
