Plan car leasing (ID3) have infirmary me that I can only pay the admin fee (£1200) by bank transfer. I have an email from them saying that it is 100% refundable if I cancel. Does this should legit? If it was only £150/200 I wouldn’t be bothered but £1200 is a lot to send over on a whim. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I wouldn't be happy with that. Why can't you pay by credit card? I agree that it sounds dubious.

I've paid my last few cars with a bank transfer.
How long have Plan car leasing been in business?

But either way, the £1200 fee would irk me.

Plan Car Leasing are part of the Bridle Group so imagine it should be relatively safe.

The £1200 is an irk as I'm on one of these too but the remainder of the deal outstrips anything else that's been in the market for ID.3's in terms of model, price and estimated delivery(due to them being a batch of cancellations)

a bit of a wierd one. was in the final minutes of signing the next contract from lex autolease and the spotted this interesting charge there for going non maintained.

am i right in thinking that it would be a £300 for entire duration on a 36 month rental?

I'd imagine £300 for each missed service.
But get the car serviced and you'll be OK.

Apparently this 1200 quid is because they had to put money down to secure the cars? I've been leasing for 6 years and a frequent visitor to this thread and have never heard of this ever before.

Whens the £1200 due? Before or after delivery?

Apparently it's a good deal but I wouldn't be happy with a 1200 quid fee by bacs.

Not only that, but I would imagine that a "service overdue" warning light would also result in the collection guy aborting the collection, and hence the additional costs for them to return (plus the additional rental period that would incur).

That is how Alphabet / BCA operate any how.

I had to pay £5000 refundable deposit when ordering leased Audi S8, but that was paid directly to the dealer. They didn't want to be stuck with cancelled S8 order. I think only this one dealer was taking deposit, others not and neither lease company. Got it back by cheque when car was delivered. That was in 2015 (Insane S8 deal).

All that says is "(in the) Event that you have not selected maintenance to be provided under this agreement, and you fail to give evidence of a fully completed service history, (you will be) Charged £300"

As long as you maintain the vehicle in accordance with the manufacturers requirements and provide evidence of this, if requested, at the end of the contract, you will not be charged £300

that could also be interpreted as if you have not undertaken your servicing responsibilities on the vehicle, you will be charged 300. there is no mention of number of services etc

Central UK vehicle leasing got various cupras in stock. Ateca (vz1) , leon and formentor.

My Vz2 is arriving tomorrow, interestingly CUKVL say their cars come with the beats sound system. I thought that had gone out the window with the chip shortages.

I ordered one almost 3 months ago and my build date is currently 7th November so November for a new order sounds optimistic
