Thanks for the reply, although i was under the impression the tax breaks are the same for both company and individual. Happy to be proved wrong though.
The tax breaks relate to vat and benefit in kind. The company director can therefore pay from gross and not pay the tax on taking the money out or on the bik of having the perk (or something like that).

Not sure if I've misread that, but the beneficiary of the car does need to pay tax for the BIK. Currently 2% of the car's P11D value.

I requested extension quote from Zen for BMW Z4 2.0i leased in 2021. Original contract was/is £3000 upfront (my choice) and 23 x £241. Extension quote for another 12 months and the same 10K miles per annum came at £525.

They can have their car at the end of lease. I guess it's my last lease, because I don't want another brand new car. My 10y old petrol thirsty 4x4 will be my daily.

And yes, I get emails from Skoda and other brands about open days and new car deals. So we must be getting close to the point where there's more supply than demand.

Christ, daylight robbery.

I've a 1 Series lease ending in June and have been meaning to phone Arval about a 12 month extension, I won't be getting my hopes up for a constructive discussion on the subject if what you've posted is the rule rather than an exception yikes

Arval might give you totally different quote. I think people mentioned decent offers before.

I just wanted to know in advance, to decide what to do in future and how many miles to declare on insurance renewal.

Hi guys, thinking about pulling the trigger on the deal below

Kardi Leasing

VW Tiguan 1.5 TSi DSG R Line 10k 1+35, no fees.

£430pm with maintenance.

Anyone seen anything better?

Also, does the R Line come with heated seats and IQ lights as standard?

Thanks

Sorry, should have said it included maintenance too. I've revised my post.

Due to supply issues of certain components VW quietly brought out a "R Line Edition" which is slightly different to a "R Line", for example it comes with 19" wheels instead of 20" so confirm with the lease company before proceeding.

See differences here: https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/en/new/tiguan.html#bu...

It depends on the fiance company. Every car (3) with VWFS came down in price each extension pretty much and one is £80 less than the original contract so it’s pretty decent. Lex Lease on the other hand are charging £40 more each month extra for a 3rd year extensions on a 2 year contract. Sadly A3’s now cost over £300 so it’s still cheaper to keep the car. It’s costing more than an A6 and A5 though. And Lex will charge you the new price from when you agree to the extension which is daylight robbery as it should be once the contract was due to end.

Well, no, I'd prefer a petrol but that was more expensive. Actually, that might have been from another car I was looking at, I don't think there was the option of a petrol for this A5.

You give them £24k ish for only 5k miles and will be without a warranty as well. Seems extortionate to me.

I handed the exact same car back a little while ago and I think that’s an awful awful deal.

I don't disagree! I'm struggling to figure out what to do. I've had a car that I paid off years ago, which is starting to creak, albeit still runs. I work from home so don't do much mileage but earn a decent salary to treat myself to a nice car. At the same time, I struggle to justify it when I'll only be doing 5,000 miles!!

That's partially why I came here so I could get some help from you guys and to probably persuade me against doing something so stupid!

How do you get to £21k by the way? I worked it out as approx £21k so maybe I'm missing something?

Thanks

Think carefully if you will be ok with the DPF. I thought I'd get away with it but after the first year started getting issues and was actively avoiding as many short journeys as possible.

Arval are great for extensions, my brother extended his lease on a 3 series in November for another 12 months (6 month option available as well) for pretty much the same price he was paying.
