Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol 10)
Discussion
A5 Sportback Sport, Base spec Sport trim. Petrol.
£315.29 23+9 10k miles, Sytner (No admin fee), via LeaseLoco.
£420.38 average monthlies
Price dropped y’day, so heading in the right direction.
If it’s VWFS and they keep their current policy of a 12 month extension at existing monthlies, this would effectively turn into a 9+35 at £315.29, or £385.35 average monthlies
Also not sure if this includes the loyalty discount - anyone know if that’s a set £ discount, or percentage? ContractCars have two different prices for ‘Audi Replacement’ and non-replacement, but no obvious correlation in what the discounts are. The A5 S Line on there has a £29.37 reduction per month, which starts to look like a decent deal if it could be applied with Sytner on this deal.

Anyone done any of the Santander 123 deals recently? I seem to recall some saying in the past that nobody actually checks if you have a Santander 123 account. There are one or two in there that aren't hideous (by today's standards):

I’ve only had regard to the Volvo deals, just because I took delivery of one in September and like to see how they are moving. The Santander deals are not great in terms of the last 6-9 months, but better than the mainstream brokers at the moment.https://www.santanderconsumer.co.uk/offers/great-o...

The VWFS Contract Extension "Option" changed TWICE during the first 18 months of leasing with current Cupra, so don't rely on that. It's worked out OK for me, but don't take out a lease on anything than an assumption you will be offer 3 months informal. Anything beyond that will likely revert to a 'formal quote', which could easily go up significantly in the current climate.
I asked them in Feb for a quote for 6 month extension (2 years up in April) and they immediately extended me for 6 months on the same terms. I didn't want the extension, just wanted to know the price!Avallon said:
If anyone is interested in the XC60 Core - I've got a local dealer offering it at £496 per month on a 1x24 @ 8000 miles p/a (inc. metallic paint).
That's not too bad. I've noticed some decent deals on the XC60 too, and aware from a conversation with Volvo that it's one of the few they are offering any support to at the moment (XC40 being the other).I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I'm coming to the end of my 3 year S90 deal (feels like a steal, not a deal, by today's standards) and the suggestion from Volvo FS is that they will probably allow me up to 12 months informal extension at the same monthly rate (£307), given how difficult it is to get cars these days. So I'm wondering if I should keep a 3 year old S90 for another year at a much cheaper price than I could get a new lease, or switch to something new for around £200 a month more. There will be servicing/tyres etc to consider, and warranty expiry I think, but I think financially the decision is a pretty simple one. Then kick the can down the road in the hope that prices have improved this time next year.

I've been through exactly the same logic.... my 3yr S90 steal ends this month - have been paying £267 maintained! I've just extended another year in the hope that the market has settled by that pointI'm in a bit of a dilemma. Wow that really was a steal. I was a little late to the party on the S90/V90 deals, but I was still very happy with mine and would bite a dealer's hand off for the chance to repeat the one I have!!Out of interest, does the monthly rate for the extension equate to the total paid (deposit+monthlies/contract duration in months), or simply the monthlies you've been paying during the contract? In other words if you put a big deposit down would the monthlies for the extension be higher than current monthlies? Mine was a 3+35 so I'm guessing it's the total cost divided by 38 each month that I will pay during the extension?

The deposit is irelevant, that’s the basis for your payments during the initial contract. The extension is based upon other factors and will either go up or down, your deposit from the initial point shouldn’t make any difference. Most reputable lessors reduce monthlies as the car is obviously worth less. VWFS for example reduced one by £80 for me. It depends on the company. Zen Auto for example calculate the deposit+monthlies/contract duration in months exactly as you state for the basis of an extension. Whether other factors like age of car come into we will see but they have a hard limit of max lease for 48 months with extensions so I doubt it.Others seem to extend at monthly cost or even less, other significantly more!
Just had an email come through from FleetPrices with a few interesting in-stock vehicles.
https://www.fleetprices.co.uk/car-leasing/volkswag...
In stock reasonable spec DSG Passat Estate for £400 on a 3+36 8k miles contract.
Obviously goes without saying it’s a dreadful deal compared to years ago, but for people after a large auto in-stock family car there’s not much out there.

Can’t recommend Fleet Prices after a bad experience a few years ago. https://www.fleetprices.co.uk/car-leasing/volkswag...
