Well the dealer has advertised the car now on his website….so let’s see. He’s priced it a little cheaper than what a similar car is on an OPC site but significantly higher than what a dealer would offer…so let’s see. Plus nothing signed by me.
Link so we can see the car ? Milner993 said:
Why the price difference between your listing and his website?
Auto Trader is the biggest vehicle sales site in the UK, anyone looking for your vehicle will find it at the lower price on Auto Trader, is the dealer expecting to be paid if your listing generates the sale?
I’ll be removing the Autotrader one next weekend as it will expire.Auto Trader is the biggest vehicle sales site in the UK, anyone looking for your vehicle will find it at the lower price on Auto Trader, is the dealer expecting to be paid if your listing generates the sale?
I assume most people prefer to buy from a dealer, as it gives them some sense of security, the car will be prepared etc….but as it’s still got 2 year OPC warranty, buyers should really do the private sale.
Just to give an update on this.
My Macan was sold today.
It was a commissionable sale.
The dealer advertised it on their website, but I kept hold of the car.
I ended up selling it for £57K
The dealer took £1,200 as their commission and £500 for prep and fixing the wheels and an oil change (which was due).
Considering I was offered 52 by Porsche, 55 by other dealers, it worked out really well.

Congrats on selling it but just to clarify, You received £55,300 when other dealers were offering to buy the car from you all the way back in November for £55,000?My Macan was sold today.

Or £57k was net of their costs?

Not bad for a Base Macan bought 14 months ago.

Seems bizarre. Two months to sell a car which should go easily in days
Still a lack of clear info from the OP.
This is one of those threads when I just think why did I bother scrolling through this.
To clarify, I was looking to sell as second hand car prices on low mileage prestige cars were super high.Still a lack of clear info from the OP.

Secondly, it took 2 months as December tends to be quiet.
Third, I was asking a high price, it was advertised at just under 59k, more expensive than the same spec brand new.
