Hmm, twinscrolls seem to be twice the price of 3.0-litre models. Never understood why, but that might help you make a decision:

I’m looking at two, only because I can’t think of a single “have your cake an eat it” within budget.

I always seem to come back to 2 ton German barges, quick went exactly drivers cars.

Legacy 3.0r and a clio 182 is close to spec though!

I'd say the Subaru Tribeca makes more sense (same Legacy drivetrain) but in a package that'll land you a slightly newer car:
