WBAC and ownership

Evening!
Can I ask why companies like WBAC etc insist on you owning the car and having the V5 in your name for a certain length of time? Surely regarding finance and right to sell this is easily established- any answers gratefully received!

So your not a dealer offloading a duff car.. they state you need to be a private owner. So your a dealer. Issue shows over 30mph with a major gearbox issue. So the dodgy dealer thinks they'll punt it on.

Same with private. You've owned it less than 3 months = a good chance you found issues
