I'm going to get rid of my 130i, I absolutely love it but I've so many projects on around the house/garden I miss the usefulness of my 330d touring.

I have a work vehicle and our family car is a new VW Tiguan.

I'm after a workhorse pick up, upto 6k but ideally less and crew cab.

I quite like the look of navaras and there seems to be plenty to choose from, other options are an older ranger, L200 but they are alittle too much of commercial vehicle

What's the thoughts of the Nissan ?

I think your budget lands you in the area of the chassis cracking ones so maybe not the best buy there are some other options.

Thanks for the suggestions, not sure if I'm not picking on a 5k vehicle to abuse but the Navara just seems a "nicer" plate to be.

I've looked into the cracking chassis and it appears worst comes to the worst it's a £85 plating kit and s days work to strengthen it, fortunately I'm capable of that task.

Any thoughts on the Navara aside from the chassis, in terms of engine etc ?

In that case they're a decent pick up the engines are good but I'd suggest changing the oil every 10k to aid longevity.
