Morning all,
How goes it?
Disappointed by the seemingly done deal of the ULEZ expansion to the whole of Greater London, I am on the lookout for a Greta-friendly barge as the LS400 does not meet requirements.
If you have your heart set on an XJ so be it (they're an alluring machine and I've always had a hankering to scratch the Jag itch), but you have other options too.How goes it?

LS460 complies, but check the E10 checker as at least some cannot use it (mine can't). 385bhp 4.6 V8 so suitably proper.
Also even 2004 Merc V8s comply, and there's a lot of V8 powered Mercs of many power levels and shapes since 2004 so you have a lot of choice.
All bs.

Currently thinking something along the lines of an X350 petrol - who is the resident expert in that department? Would be great to have a chat. Usefully, many of the earlier petrol ones which are ULEZ certified are not marked as such on Autotrader. Hopefully this leads the other punters scrambling for eco friendly motors down the garden path - leaving the gems to my good self.
The X350 is good but you can't fight the 2nd law of thermodynamics and they are really knocking on now. Values are all over the place too, particularly for the ones you actually want (the 4.2 and supercharged). How goes it?

Seriously consider the XF V8, WorldBoss has picked one up and it is hard to believe that only 5 years separates it from the X350, it is just so much more developed and I think it is a superb take on a modern Jaguar sports saloon; having now experienced both I think I'd have a 4.2 XF over a 4.2 X350.
The 5.0 XFs crop up and are apparently brilliant too, just pay no mind to the idiotic dreamer pricing you see on so many old smoker Jags and wait for a seller who actually wants to see it go.

The Lexus is a very nice thing.
It's history is quite amusing. First owner rocked up 166k miles within 5 years and serviced it exclusively at lexus. £8,300 as per the lexus report on file up to that mileage.
I had an S class on slightly less miles and the difference is stark!
Eta - I paid £1950

I'm hoping it will be that deep red/burgundy with tan, but as it's a Monday morning I await disappointment.
I have a suspicion it'll be green over tan. Unless of course there was the possibility of an homage to the original and best via a special order Purple & Tango scheme?
