Overbudget (before haggle) but it's Friday. Looks nice, but maybe that's the leaves, some sort of filter and a nice blue hue.
Is there anything to watch out for on these Japanese imports? Any weird specs?

The radios don't work very well and you'd be wise not to trust the sat nav

Careful posting weird spec jokes - folk have been sent to the sun bin for less here!

(nice though!)

Big loss, it's fking fked now anyway, if they want to slam a couple more 9 inch nails into the coffin lid to be sure then more fool them.

This doesn’t look a bad buy. Is the air suspension tricky on these? I don’t recall the Lexus version having that?

I’ve left a deposit on this.. will let you know how it goes!

Need to shift a Caravelle or my R32 quick now so I got somewhere to park it!

Gutted it’s not ULEZ compliant though even though all other petrol facelift E39s seem to be.

it has my favourite BMW wheel on it - I've got two sets stashed away for my project car (one set in 18 and the other in 17)

They look great but too much stress when cleaning for my tastes.
I didn’t realise how easy it was to miss bits until I had BBS wheels on a Subaru.

M parallels for me!

Should be a good buy smile

Unfortunately no Japanese import E39s will meet ULEZ as you need the original paperwork from BMW Japan to confirm the specs etc and that's just not going to happen.

Quite a few folk I know have looked into this with their Japanese import E39s and failed at every hurdle... frown

If the speedo is still in KM, you can send the cluster off to Keith at AK Speedo to convert it properly to MPH and he'll properly code the cluster too. He'll turn it around in a few days

Radio if original will have the BM53 amp in the trunk space; you can open the hidden menu in the cluster and convert the signal to Canada, that'll open up more frequencies; alternative is to send the BM53 amp off to Baris at Carphonics, he'll send back an upgraded BM54 and that'll operate all UK frequencies.

When I had my Japanese touring I fitted the Grom Audio BT3 kit to the CD changer wiring and it works superbly with the OEM heads unit, steering wheel controls and you'll have full hands free Bluetooth and A2DP music playback etc

Any further questions feel free to email me. My full E39 touring project is here FYI:

Ooh, good timing. I noticed an x350 for sale locally, i have no real need for one but they seem good value and it looked nice

Thanks Dan for the helpful info, is still in KM so will definitely sort that. Cluster easy enough to remove?

Believe it’s got a Bluetooth stereo fitted already so may be good on that front.

I can’t see an email on your profile but I will more than likely have a lot more questions for you as a seasoned pro in this field!

I really wanted this. Not enough to pay £6.1 for it though and having to deal with another car is the last thing I need right now.

Saw £6.1 and thought you'd won another raffle!

That 126 price seems fairly reasonable to me.

I wish!

Price seems fair, although I didn't do any DD with no plate showing. I was just hoping for a bargain to justify some very ropey man maths.
