It's a parts car in that state sadly.
Are there even any good parts to make it worthwhile? Engine and gearbox aside it's a complete mess.
Strangely, the last time I went to Rome all cars looked like that...

Minus the terminal rust.

I imagine he'd prefer something younger.

It's that day for the CL today

Chatting to the garage and it's had the new brake test rollers installed. No more ignoring a lazy handbrake - the results go straight to DLVA electronically.
What about the handbrake assist pedal ?

Nasty..... at least you are ok though

What happened?
Very briefly: young lad thought a give way sign meant ‘accelerate to ramming speed’ caught the front of my car, spun it through 90 degrees then rearranged itself on a telegraph pole.

Nobody hurt but simply a completely unnecessary waste of a car and that’s before you get into the ifs.

An attempt to inject some life into the thread - I certainly don't want to see it grind to a holt!

An incredibly early Sunderland built Nissan Bluebird. These really are a pleasure to drive for such an old car. My mother always said my grandads' really did feel like a "big posh executive car" back in the day.

That is a great understated advert: it looks in great condition (on my tiny phone screen).

When they were still around regularly I used to look on the Bluebird and Sunny as unpleasant logs that needed to be flushed. Now they're almost gone I find that very alluring.

That, and once a year you can be a celebrity at the festival of the unexceptional.

The vents. Who can miss the vents? Imagine what thrust they provide to the 1.6 engine, piping out, oh, nothing, so not quite like a Harrier then.

Anybody want to roll the dice ? Looks like lots of servicing/parts have been done, says the odd rusty spot but can't see it ? Interior looks really clean so maybe too good for a skip car ?

Aren't they for correcting under- and over- steer on the roundabouts of Hartlepool and Milton Keynes?

Have great memories of a teacher at my school driving a blue Bluebird in the early 00’s.

I am so very tempted by one of these. More than four cylinders powered by the correct fuel, within thread budget and not silver, black or grey.

That looks bloody lovely. Our former threadist r129 had a lovely one of these in green and it looked like a fabulous way to travel.
He still has it, doesn't he?
That looks really lovely, he even has a video clip of it (beware of the nasty music): https://www.youtube.com/shorts/oNjYwpH0Tjk
