Only the 10th reported purchase so far this year. Come on chaps!
There have been a few others, in the WhatsApp chat smile

I'd be keen to know the 10, though?

Sorry to be a disappointment - I spent 11 months of last year waiting to have my driving licence renewal confirmed (limited to 3 years due to medical conditions).

I spent the time dreaming of picking up a min-barge with a petrol engine - Mercedes C240/C320, I was looking for you.

I've never before owned a BMW nor a diesel car with a diesel engine.
Today I did something rather silly and embarrassing - Later this week I will be collecting a BMW X1 diesel, and at double thread £.

I'm not sure about your medical condition but with mine if my license is under review but the 3 years have expired I'm still able to drive. The whole thing is a joke anyway, DVLA are a bunch of wkers.

You can continue to drive for 12 months whilst your licence is under review, but that still left two problems:
1 - Getting a test drive using an expired driving licence might have been questionable.
2 - I did not want to spend on a car until I knew that I could drive for at least another three years.

As an aside - On Saturday afternoon I drove past the dealer in Brighton who is selling your old Lexus - Sadly the VED and fuel consumption are not something that I can justify. If it had been 20 years ago when I was able to claim expenses, then it would have been a different matter.

A little over the thread budget, but money saving comes in this being a year away from being ULEZ, road tax and MOT exempt. And it’s lovely.

What on earth is "function of left hand fuel tank uncertain" in the ad supposed to mean?

Means it comes out faster than you can pour it in.

Mini-barge acquired. Just had two rear shocks, rear brake lines, two new tyres and a wheel bearing to get the fresh MOT it was sold with.

Bought unseen (as always), and is nowhere near as glacial as I’d expected. Literally everything works, including cold air con, so the only jobs are new mats and an aftermarket head unit.

Good impulse buy for impending dog duties, I think!

My wife had one of those when I first met her, 20 years ago.
It caught fire on the M62 and incinerated itself.

Possibly a dodgy fuel pump primer or similar issue that means you might only have an 8gallon range…

Ah! It was a good car that smile I can't recall ever being in a more comfortable car to be honest.

It means the owner is having the same problem as I used to with mine, you run out of fuel in the right hand tank so you switch to the left one which absolutely, definitely, still has some fuel left in it because you know it does only to find that it's empty too.

You can do that simply by using the throttle pedal on a S3 too... smile

Nice one Toby! I think that Alec E has purchased an L322 this year and AlexNJ89 picked up an L322 also.
