Been there, done that, albeit in 3500S trim. Not sure I'd go there again. It was the final straw when I closed the tailgate and the entire glass section, along with about an inch or so of tailgate fell into the boot! The rest of the tailgate appeared to be made entirely of iron oxide and P.38!

Along with the sills, front valance, door bottoms and front scuttle. That car taught me the value of taking a magnet with me when going to purchase a car.

The wheels are somewhat similar to those of the last-of-the-line GTS, but the GTS wheels seem to have straight, rather than bent, spokes. I agree that an S2 should have its original wheels.

I hear they are expensive to run, but perhaps in a different way to a TT 600 Merc. I suspect if you properly went through a 928 and fixed/replaced everything required, it would stay reliable for some time, whereas I'm not sure about a TT 600 Merc.

If money were no object I'd have a 928.

Generally looks fairly tidy but has clearly had some sort of front end bump, judging by the wing damage, bumper mis-alignment and the bonnet sitting proud at the middle. Hopefully it's fairly simple stuff though and not a sign of more serious damage.

Me too. I really like that - the interior and seat reminds me of my first car, a Renault 11. It was also a similar colour. Different French brands but still very similar in a French way.
