Generally looks fairly tidy but has clearly had some sort of front end bump, judging by the wing damage, bumper mis-alignment and the bonnet sitting proud at the middle. Hopefully it's fairly simple stuff though and not a sign of more serious damage.
surprised to see a CX gti with cloth seats and no GTi badge on the steering wheel.

What say the Bargistas?
I want to like the XJS.

But if some RIP codger's ingrate grandchildren want to sell me a purple one with a ZF 8 speed box and a 6.0 V12 for cheap I'd be on it like a car bonnet.

Counts as a barge though

Those horrid reflectors by the rear lights seem familiar. It's a re-post?

There's no interior shots in the listing.

Loving the CX and Bache Range Rover.

I was looking at one of Spinakerr's photos on his Alfa 164 readers' cars thread that featured his SAAB 900 in a mirror. There's some similarities in the SAAB 900 and Range Rover with regard to the bluff, vertical front, clam shell bonnets and upright windscreens?

ETA: Awaiting a new wiper arm as I snapped the old one whilst changing the blade... d'oh!
Sorry to glory in your misfortune, but you have no idea how happy that makes me. Until now I seem to have been the most cack-handed threadist but now my ineptitude appears to have been matched.
Glad to be of assistance - £55 lighter courtesy of the Ford dealer, rear wash/wipe service has resumed.

Currently at £2601

I have a bit of thing for red leather. Extended leather in that case means the door pull/armrests? I've not yet checked the photos on Google.

Friday offering: Always liked these, although I am not sure white suits them. However, seems like a lot of car for the money to me.

I like the white, it's those wheels that ruin it.
The wheels are somewhat similar to those of the last-of-the-line GTS, but the GTS wheels seem to have straight, rather than bent, spokes. I agree that an S2 should have its original wheels.
Absolutely - I had a GTS with those (straight) wheels.

I spent very little on mine - a new oil hose (old one started weeping with little flame explosions visible…that was a scary drive back from the pub) and it was happy as long as you used it and were patient starting it up.

Careful. Scrump's about smash

I believe you're correct about the extended leather, certainly you don't get that on a standard car and sadly it doesn't appear to have a leather armrest.

Nice exterior and interior colours.

And also 4(!) keys.

Hopefully not one for the drivers door, one for the ignition, one for the passenger door and one for the boot.

As it went for the last price quoted, it's a steal even if the four keys are for a different car!

Well it'd need to be a steal if that were the case....

368 miles done in the w124 today, and still a third of a tank left. I was not hanging about either. Highlighted how the two year rest means there’s plenty to do on this car (see reader ride thread). But boy do I love it. Driving these old mercs long distance and at healthy speed is so much more fun than a double glazed Lexus or the like. Brilliant things.

Anything but a shed/project 928 seems to have been Friday budget for a long time now. I remember when you could get them routinely for around £5k (not a GTS mind) and that would leave a decent war chest. Came close a few times hoping to relive my Risky Business fantasy but I think that ship has sailed now, for many reasons!

I saw your Readers' Cars musings about a complete suspension refresh. I am mulling over something similar at one end of my non-barge due to a couple of advisories, as in "if those parts have to be diseembled to replace those parts why not replace all of them while it's in bits?"

Your car is looking great in that photo and you managed to find two modern cars of colour to park between.
