LONG drive (by my standards) tomorrow. 572 miles, should be a good run-out for the LS. I don't anticipate doing an R129 or BolideMichael speed-run, but I plan to at least make some progress. Gonna be a long day, but the Cairngorms await
Get that speed limiter tested! I checked my 430's (reassuring to know it's there for safety's sake). W00DY said:

My high speed dash through Germany today involved at least one camera flash and one traffic jam ('stau') that satnav gleefully informed me would add 3 hours to the journey as the A8 was 'impassable'. Being the renegade outlaw that I am, I turned off the motorway through a 'no access' woodsman's track and followed a bunch of Germans through the woods to clear village roads. Result.
At my hotel I have discovered the most amazing vending machine which cleverly dispenses cold beer bottles in exchange for a mere €2.50. Its the most impressive thing I think I have ever seen.

In 2007 my first experience of Belgium as a 17 year old was discovering that just about every train station platform had a vending machine which gave you an ice cold can of Jupiler for €1. I almost missed my trains.

Is Ian banned? I've not seen anything contentious
Doesn't take much for grumpy scrump to wield the ban hammer these days Clang, clang, Scrumpy's banning hammer made sure, he was dead.
If a post on PistonHeads breaches our rules of posting, it will be removed by any one of our 30 moderators.
You shouldn't need reminding of rule 23 in our rules of posting: Abuse towards our moderators will not be tolerated and will result in your account being suspended or banned.
So it should really be no surprise if this sort of behaviour does result in action being taken against you.
I really don't see any abuse in these posts - the posters are making light of the situation, not having a dig at Scrump.
There is so much st posted elsewhere on pistonheads that I find it stunning that some members joking about Ian being banned again really produces the threat of suspension or banning. It makes me think of the Russian government.
I am gutted to be sat here wondering if I dare post these thoughts, as I am worried they may get me banned due to me questioning your policies in a humorous manner. It feels like "thou shalt not criticise the management".
For the record - I do not feel we should be grateful for Scrump doing his job - I assume he chooses to do it, though as these threats sounds like the North Koreans being told they should love their glorious leader, maybe he is being held in a bunker somewhere doing this under duress.
Ok - back on topic, I just found this American version of CDG on Youtube.
It's worth watching just for the Saddam reference in the first few seconds. #noirony
Disclaimer - I'm still watching this while posting the link here, so it could get even more weird...
ETA - I have never heard of the Lexus RC - had to google it and I found this:
https://www.lexus.co.uk/new-cars/rc-f
How did I miss this? I really want a RC F now.
