My most recent 221 purchase, advertised as a non runner but I’ve been driving it about for a couple of weeks now :-)
What was/ is wrong with it? Apart from being diesel, obvs.

Is there a vendor out there kicking himself ?

I was away for a few days and have been trying to catch up with the thread, seems like a lot has happened! I wont dwell on it though.

This was on the drive over the road from where I was staying, non hybrid and surely a favourite around here:

There's one of these parks overnight in a little spot called Chickenley in Dewsbury. Chick is a sthole god knows how the owner sleeps as night !!!

Morning All, thought the W124 fanatics amongst us might enjoy this video. Could only watch without sound, so no idea if it's in German or English! Still quite interesting to watch.

It’s looking like it needs a new secondary battery from the symptoms it’s displaying and the advice given by Worldboss.

That's a bloody good average, TLex.

I hope to have a nose round one at a loser meet in the not too distant future.
Where possibly I was cruising at 90-95 by the GPS. So many 50/60 limits on the M6 with average cameras, and the first 15+ miles from my house were stuck to 40mph on the motorway due to "workforce in road" who weren't there.

If I ever attend a loser meet you'd be more than welcome, or if you're ever near my way.
Goodness me, TLex, that takes some commitment.
Thing is, those first few hours in particular were pretty dead. Roads were empty and rarely did I venture above 37, but sat around there for long stretches where possible. Whenever going faster I always made sure the visibility was good and there was nothing in the middle lane, so if someone did pull out they wouldn't be in my lane. I was really chuffed with how the journey went. Just shy of 8 hours driving time, overall time 8:35. Didn't arrive knackered either.

Was still pulling strong - I can assure you this didn't feel too boring, got the adrenaline going!

And yes, I need to clean my instrument cluster hehe
You haven't disappointed TLex, I like to think we all played a part in peer pressuring you to put down some good numbers.

I like the little instrument cluster graphics on the LS, very Japanese.

If I were to have one that colour it'd need to be registered somewhere where the plate doesn't clash so much.

Good effort TLex, wish mine could do that, still not been able to lose the JDM limiter.

Surely someone can manage it? All the tuning companies you've tried failed?

Why do half the photos on that look like the seller has hid in the bushes across the street and zoomed in on his phone to the max

At the risk of being called a boring old git (and not for the first time….) I would pull those posts Ross - best not posted on a public forum IMHO.

They want to pull the twin ecu's, open 'em up and fiddle about. I've not been brave enough to go there. Was hoping for the more usual plug and play speed cut, kph to mph converter that interrupts the speedo/gearbox signal.

Doesn't really sound worth the risk to me, but maybe I'm just boring!
