Is Ian banned? I've not seen anything contentious
Doesn't take much for grumpy scrump to wield the ban hammer these days Clang, clang, Scrumpy's banning hammer made sure, he was dead.
If a post on PistonHeads breaches our rules of posting, it will be removed by any one of our 30 moderators.
You shouldn't need reminding of rule 23 in our rules of posting: Abuse towards our moderators will not be tolerated and will result in your account being suspended or banned.
So it should really be no surprise if this sort of behaviour does result in action being taken against you.
First and foremost, if scrump was genuinely upset by my post I unreservedly apologise. It was meant in the usual "tone of thread" as a bit of light hearted banter regarding the increased moderator activity within the thread. It was in no way meant as a personal attack on scrump nor any other moderator.
However. I still feel a little upset on how the aftermath was handled. I recieved an email telling me I was being suspended for spamming, trolling and abusive behaviour towards a moderator. I have never been an abusive person in my life. Not from behind a keyboard, nor in real life. And I take great offense at being described as such for such a light hearted use of the word grumpy.
Ben this is not a criticism of you or any of the PH moderation team, but it does feel to me like using a massive sledgehammer to crack a peanut.
Anyways I've said my bit ill go back to lurking

I was in Asda to read that new issue of Toyota Century Weekly without paying because nobody's gonna tell a 6'5" powerlifter that it's not a library. Probably wouldn't tell me either.
They didn't have a copy.
sold out at the two largest outlets for me too. I'll try again tomorrow or have to resort to the glare across the way @ the newsagent. I hope he negotiated a handsome commission, despite us tightwads!, the uplift in circulation must be adding to his already beaming pride. They didn't have a copy.
Can’t recommend it enough. Better value than mains water. And arguably more important.

Surprised they only want £10k for that, when they've spent £10k restoring it over the past 18 months.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115400127167?hash=item1...
Lively car mind.

ETA - if you don't have a tablet it's a pretty unsatisfying experience on a phone. But free.

I am going to go and find a copy of Octane,I normally find it a little too highbrow for my tastes, but will make an exception.
Today I saw this and thought it might find some favour here, I know nothing about them though…I also assume it will go for over thread budget!

Thats bonkers. Almost as bonkers as the 70large Skoda milkfloat. https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1460061
That's a stunning C124.
Just checking back in after a few weeks away (who knew holidays now make the car market look sensibly priced). Sorry to see some of the legends of this thread are currently missing - this really is a brilliant little corner of the world which I thoroughly enjoy. I’ve even survived an altercation with BM’s Range on a dual carriageway and lived to tell the tale.
On a brighter note the Century looks awesome 21stCM and loving the road trip photos TLex - getting inspired for my trip to the Jackie Stewart meet north of the border next month

Another 350 miles done today in the W124 320.
It's not as good as the old 300E, aside from the seats which are very comfortable.
I got caught in crap traffic on the A1 today - good progress either side but a total wipeput in terms of average time.
Wound it off the formal top speed either side though.

Long time lurker here guys and cards on the table I have a EV company car on the drive and genuinely would love some barge action on the drive too.
But given a limited budget I really struggle to justify 600 VED for cars I’d love.
Even post 05 6 series, merc E/CL etc are all in that bracket even minus bork fund. I’m basic on the spanner’s but that yearly recurrent is such a put off
What’s the thread justification on this (minus man maths obvs)
Pa I’m not doing many miles but would love to do it in Waftage

It’s less than 12 quid a week. Barely a rounding error. Get that barge on the drive Sir.
Morning
I am shortly off to a Red Letter Day driving thing which is a leftover present from my mother 2 years ago. I couldn't become excited with all the supercars and racing cars etc so I changed it for The Italian Job experience.
Mini Cooper
E-Type
Bedford coach (apparently the one from the film but I am dubious)
"get the wheels in line wiv it!"
