Maybe 'uncooked, party-size chipolata' is something you're more familiar with?
Party size means massive, yeah?Mark-C said:
A tad over budget and in France but have we had an Avantime recently? https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1407331
Lovely looking car but mad advert - doesn't mention any of the usual, useful things like service history or even which engine it has...Mark-C said:
Just dropped in for the first time this week to find a whole page of innuendo and no barges ... Happy Days

Lots of Avantimes on Le Bon Coin. A friend had a manual V6 over here a few years ago and loved it.
Esteemed friends, you asked and I delivered...
Here is my barge after checking the air suspension, finding a loose heat shield and generally being appreciated in short shorts.
As discussed there is room pretty much everywhere for short shorts, even beneath the bonnet! Note the internal parsnip/cocktail meat baffle.
I would try to give some more detailed shots but as you can see from my attire and that of my chum, we both field a lot of calls from magazines about being a "Fashion Man" so we are constantly being pulled away from the task at hand.
Nevertheless, please enjoy the long smoothness.
Please be enjoying the camel toe arm rest
Detailed sartorial inspiration for those more interested in advanced male fashion techniques rather than barges...
Next activity is a service (9.5l oil).
Then just general shakedown till D-day....too soon?

Following on from the Granada love here's two of mine.
Sorry about the photo of actual photos but I don't think digital cameras had even been thought of then!
Both were 2.0L's with cloth seats, change your own gears and exercise widows, the only luxury was the mono radio with a single center speaker in the top of the dash
These were my third and forth cars and I had them when all my friends were hankering after XR2's and 3's.
I tthink these are the reason I am drawn to this thread
My very first tax-free car was a Ford from a garage in Dover. That was also RYN. XR3i Cabrio in red. Sorry about the photo of actual photos but I don't think digital cameras had even been thought of then!

Perhaps from the same place?

Well done Foeux.
Concentrate everyone. This gentleman is clearly dealing with some serious problems and yet manages a post like that.
This is the standard by which we should all be judged. Think on.
The thing spurring me on the most at the moment is that we will all be dead one day and very shortly thereafter, none of it will have mattered anyway.Concentrate everyone. This gentleman is clearly dealing with some serious problems and yet manages a post like that.

If you like a barge, get a barge. If you want to shop in the womens section of Swindon outlet village for your shorts, shop away - it's cheap.
I have done a good bit of driving around Europe with chums in much cheaper cars than this, in fancy dress. The memories we made doing it are wondrous and this is just the moderately more grown up version of that with my family.
It will be 'up on the ramp' tomorrow as I need to secure a naughty heatshield.

What happened to Macron and 21CM? All those accusations of flouncing being thrown about by all and sundry and we've lost two stalwarts as well as the sulkers.
21CM is currently in his garage with a Montego, a Stihl saw and a MIG welder creating a two-door convertible. Depending on the results I may then have a go at a 126 touring, although Mrs Stegel is balking at taking on the tulip girl role. CharlesdeGaulle said:
I love the shorts, but the combo with socks isn't really doing it for me.
Ok, here's where we have to disagree. The higher the socks, the greater the insinuation of smartness. If a man is willing to stretch his socks to such lengths in the name of fashion, what other details is he paying attention to?Luckily I don't have linkedin or photos like this would see me a company director in minutes.
On a small side note, I am very keen to see how the car expresses itself around dried meats. I may try to source one of those Anty-pasty selections and drape various (freshly decontaminated) surfaces with the meats to demonstrate the continental versatility of this leviathan.

There should be 10" between the bottom of your shorts and the top of your socks.
If you're a serious and proper person then almost all of that 10" is above the knee.
If you're a grubby and regrettable oik, then that 8" is all shin and ankle and people could be forgiven for thinking your nickname includes a 'z', or worst of all, a 'zzer'.
Yes.
