S4/5 3.0tfsi as a daily?
Discussion
Did daily 13 mile commute in one of the last petrol S5s for 3 years.
Overtaking's a doddle, don't need a remap. It's faster than 99% of other traffic already.
Comfortable, relaxing when not pushing on, still solid when moving quick.
In the end though, I got rid and went EV - I could easily get to work faster than most traffic in the S5 using no more than 20% throttle and never breaking 2k rpm - at which point (it took 3 years!!!) I thought "this is silly, get something more suited to the job".
But for long-distance mile covering, it was absolutely fantastic.
I did love it though, just too expensive to run - you'll be lucky to break 30mpg, unless it's all duel carriageway and you're happy to sit at 60.

Have you considered a 340i or 440i? Just as quick as the Audi at 325bhp, but doesn't have the power and economy draining AWD system so it's genuinely hard to get less than 40mpg on a decent run. I had one for a year and the blend of power and economy the B58 could deliver was truly remarkable.

To echo this, I tried an S5 and immediately bought a 440i. Even on Scottish roads that are wet for half the year its a far superior car to drive and the engine/gearbox combo is superb. Stick it in cruise and I've seen North of 45mpg for long runs. Gassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
