Just found out at my Kia Sportage hybrid ordered beginning of Feb is delayed till November....
Have had 2 before but this time went for the bells and whistles GT-Line S in experience green.
Been shopping around but seems everyone is in the same boat with hybrids.
Basically I want a SUV family motor, hybrid, decent power and good tech.

Any alternatives?

I take it you’ve gone for the self charging hybrid? Ours has also been pushed back to November and it seems only to be affecting this model which is frustrating.

I did yes. I ended up buying a Range Rover Evoque p300e which they've guaranteed me for July.
Fingers crossed...

If your wanting a new car I think you will be in the same boat with other manufacturers. Lots have closed order books, struggle to deliver cars against previous orders.

My friend switched from a Kia Sportage, into a Honda SUV hybrid as they had stock cars in the network

I hope I’m wrong, but that sounds incredibly optimistic!

At the moment we can wait as this is my wife's car and her's is fine for the minute, though losing PX value by the day of course. I have an RS6 on order too which has been estimated in June, then pushed to November, then I managed to find an order slot for September delivery but although it has a build week now it's still unconfirmed. I'm still clinging on to the hope that in both cases, it was cheaper to order a new car than the equivalent pre reg or nearly new. Especially in the case of the RS6. But used prices do seem to be starting to slightly drop so that might push me into used if the gap narrows enough

The garage told me that they had just been allocated 12 Evoques to sell for July delivery. Not sure if this was full truth, but they said that JLR were able to produce a certain amount for July therefore had allocated a certain amount to each dealership.

I got an update a few weeks ago that the RR has a build date for late July and delivery should be early August. So looking like I will get it roughly on time.
I noticed a neighbour of mine with a new PHEV Tucson so I wonder if they are prioritising them over the Kia? Who knows...

Hopefully the delay is a fix to stop them destroying engines within a few hundred miles.

That's a thing? With the new Sportages?

It's a Kia /Hyundai hybrid thing that's been going on for the last year or so.
