It might not be an interesting car especially being the CDI but has sentimental values.

Dad's Smart CDI is back on the road, fresh MOT with 1 advisory for a wiper blade and to my surprise went to tax it and found out its actually £0 not £20.

Will run it for a few weeks then will see about getting it remapped, I've tuned all my other cars and only every used specialists but the "specialist" for this wants £350 for the ECU and £350 for the TCU (Gearbox) so I might just get the ECU done locally for now. Only around 20hp extra but quite a lot more torque.
Given it's history that is great news. thumbup

£0 Road Tax is just a bonus!

Does anybody really want to see a black 2010 Smart CDI!

Especially as its still covered in dirt/moss, might do a before and after once I've got round to a good clean.

Well as you asked, here it is, 2010 Smart CDI "Ice Edition" covered in ice at the moment.

Basically the Ice Edition had a Pioneer headunit + sub, carbon fibre wrapped chassis and interior bits, Ice edition side badges and Brabus wheels.

When dad bought it we weren't aware it was an Ice edition as the badges had fallen off, I found one in the glovebox and managed somehow (cant remember how now) to get in contact with the company that made them for Smart and they sent me their "last 3".

Its got a massive 54bhp and a semi auto flappy paddle box, mapping would achieve around 80bhp and a big increase in torque, the gearbox can also be mapped for 30% quicker gear changes.

It will be getting a good clean once the snow/ice goes away, brake calipers and drum brakes also need cleaning up/painting.

It’s good to see it back on the road.

Just don’t venture onto the motorways. biggrin

Mum/Dad/Sister have been up and down the M6/M1 in this loads of times, I wouldn't want to as it doesn't have cruise control.

its capable of 70+ speeds though, just takes a while to get there.
