Diesel would be fine for that mileage.
Is it 200 miles in one journey or several shorter journeys?

Also what is your budget?

Mondeo estate is a great car.
Good value, loads of room and plenty of choice.
There's also the Passat, Mazda 6, C/E Class Mercedes or what about a larger SUV?

X3, RAV4, CRV XC60, Tiguan etc...

Hi, currently got a 2019 Suzuki vitara 1.4 boosterjet petrol. I do around 200miles+ Of motorway a week and roughly 15k a year. Although biggish need something bigger ideally.
Due to a growing family (4 in total) I need something bigger to cart all stuff about comfortably Have been looking at Berlingo/ Mondeo estate type things but worried about fuel costs etc. always had petrol cars so a bit clueless on diesels!
What do you all reckon?
Depending on your budget I'd say the Ford Edge is a very good buy:

Or QX50 GT but these are a bit smaller (think Q5) than the Edge:

Drove a Hybrid Toyota RAV4 last week from Manchester to Torquay. Was getting 55mpg with AC, Heated seats, Music on etc. Very comfortable and quiet.

Don't get a Diesel, false economy especially with it now being 15% more expensive than Petrol and most cities now charging to enter. Only a matter of time before they move goal posts and charge even for euro 6.
