No, it isn’t. It’s the same non-price cut misreported elsewhere already. It’s literally a few posts up.

I own a Tesla model Y that I bought in May last year, the price drop doesn't particularly bother me, these things happen, I don't plan to sell it for a long time, it is a great car and saves me a lot of money
Teslas are still the best if you are doing long trips, in a couple of hours I will be setting off to Barnsley from Perth, a total of 291 miles, I should only require a stop of around 18 minutes at Gretna supercharger but I will probably stop for a bit longer to have some food and go to the toilet.

Same here...

I bought a new Bentley some while ago - as well as several new Jags over the years. It would have been cheaper to have carpeted the miles I travelled in Axminster.

I laugh in the face of depreciation and spank the bottom of price drops. smile

Jacob has verily shot out of the blocks in his so-far brief time with us. He's got his head around all the issues and he can see the wood AND the trees.

I for one look forward to his future insights.

Except that

a) they won’t succeed , not least because there’s no credible plan to produce enough e-fuel and

b) Euro 7 and increasing numbers of zero emissions zones in cities will make pure ICE vehicles impractical, while PHEV’a will be forced to drive on EV only mode in those zones as they should.

Against this a pure BEV will be an attractive option.
How can this be enforced? What happens if your car runs out of electric juice in city? The exhaust police will come for you or something?

There are some absolute bargains to be had on Model 3s. I suspect prices will start to stabilise as the second hand stock clears. A 3 year old Model 3 is still a much better EV than a lot of brand new EVs from other manufacturers in terms of its price, range, efficiency, performance, tech and of course the charging infrastructure.

Considering some of the EV bargains flying around it might be time to register as a trader and head over to some Motorway auctions, these Tesla's must be going for sub £20k on there

If you are going to buy a Model 3 you really want the Performance model. IF.

For my folks, I'm not so sure.

Not sure if this is a good deal but it appears the dealer has knocked £10,000 off this Tesla...

https://www.partridgemotorstore.co.uk/used-cars/15...

I wonder how much they paid for it back in December?

That's a man who is looking at a car ruining his whole month. Painful.

Waiting for Model S's to seem good value.

10 year old examples should be about 10k in my mind.

Probably not.

Then again people don’t expect someone my age to drive everywhere like I’ve stolen it.
