The car itself looks to have been quite low spec, but has quite a bit of M Performance extras.

Eg, no HK, no rear parking sensors, small screen NAV.

Conversely, it has had a wheel upgrade, alcantara steering wheel, carbon inserts inside and the side skirt add ons.

I like the colour combo though and it seems pretty well priced.
It’s a strange one isn’t it. Like you say it’s a pretty basic spec but has pretty much every M Performance extra thrown at it. Part of me wonders if it has a LSD.

Is the steering wheel and carbon bits genuine BMW?

I also can’t decide if I like the wheels or not

It may not be that strange. One scenario is that it was bought by the first owner in "lease" spec, handed back after a couple of years (keeper change on 05-08-2017), and then the subsequent owner has spent some money on modifying it. I think my only concern would be the extent of those mods, but it's backed by the BMW AUC warranty which would give some reassurance.

Hard to tell from the pics RE: the wheel and carbon are genuine BMW.

Good point RE: the LSD but a lot of people who fit them will have them taken out if trading it in as it still has a significant monetary value.

I personally dont like the wheels - they're diamond cut and thus are more prone to corrosion.

I'd probably rather have a better spec'd car and then add the other bits if / when i felt i wanted them.

Good point, I’d be wary that the car has been mapped

The wheels are genuine BMW M Performance items which I’ve seen on 3/4 Series, but I don’t believe they are designed to fit a 1 Series.

I wouldn’t buy that.

No cruise or heated seats either. This is a bare bones specced car for sure.

Looks like a lovely car in IMHO the optimum colour combo.

Looks a little on the pricey side, but then the best spec'd cars in the right colour combo usually arent cheap and its also an AUC

From the A/T advert they havent had it too long either - 15th Apr it was listed.

Red seats don’t do it for me, but otherwise looks a nice spec with low mileage in good condition.

Does really look like a lovely car and is my perfect spec really, I’d like a sunroof in an ideal world

Worth noting you can retrofit CarPlay, as well as a rear camera and front PDC if you so wish.

My wife has the Estoril blue with black seats, I'd take yours over that any day. Looks very nice, do it.

Hard to tell -

Oh and must be one of the only people who like the chrome, it’s why I like these earlier examples of the Shadow Edition
