Prosecuted by Copart? I very much doubt it. Only 'the Crown' (CPS) can "prosecute". They might sue you in the civil courts, though. Then it's up to a judge to decide if you're "in breach of your contract terms".

Your nephew isn't Johnnie Walker by any chance?
I heard him and his mate Jack Daniels hijack quite a lot of online auctions.

Copart dont want the same kind of messers that eBay has to suffer. Where people think they can bid with impunity and just change their mind once they have won an auction.

Copart will certainly ban you from bidding again. Why wouldnt they? Whether they will actually go after the £2k... who knows. You've certainly cost them time and money, with them having to put the car through again.

Actually (and I am only pointing this out because you’re being rather obnoxious) there are a number of prosecuting authorities in the UK, including the RSPCA, trading standards, the pensions regulator, the civil aviation authority, and many more, almond with private prosecutions. It’s true that civil cases are not “prosecuted”, but if you’re going to be obnoxiously pedantic make sure you are also correct.

I look forward to seeing the RSPCA prosecute the OP's 'nephew' on behalf of Copart.

Should be interesting

Maybe take your attitude, ALMOND with your advice, and go for a stroll to cool your heels, Pocahontas...

Check the t&cs

I think they relist it and charge you the difference.

Or let them try and sue you for it..

Either way you lose the £100

Electro made a typo - hardly the end of the world.

Whereas you were plain wrong, and have been obnoxious twice now.
