Having been let down by a broker who appears to have sold me a a stock car that doesn’t exist and needing a car fairly quickly I am considering just cancelling the order and looking elsewhere..

Does anyone know any good sites for new cars where it’s possible to filter deals by cars that are in stock?

Not looking for a lease but a purchase.

Go to Autotrader, select Brand new cars in the search thingy on the left hand side. Search for some cars you think you might like. Look at the pictures - if they are a real picture of the actual car sat in the dealers, then it's highly likely it's a car that's in stock. Avoid the ones that are just like a picture on a white background.

If these two can’t help then we’re in dire straits!

New cars aren’t really my thing tbh, I’m sure someone will be along soon with a better answer

That’s a good shout. Had a good look and there isn’t really anything that is comparable in value to the MG we have ordered. There’s some of them on there but almost £5k more pensive than the deal we have.

Might look at hiring a cheap small car for a period to tide us through

Can you name the broker so that others can avoid being let down like this?

Sadly ‘naming and shaming’ is against PH rule so don’t go there.

Can I suggest that there is a connection between this and the fact that the car you ordered appears to be fictional?
