Hi All,

Is running any of these super barges still doable? I used to run a 7 series back in the day and it was wonderful.

I need a new daily, the modern stuff is so expensive and poorly specified it does not appeal, I wondered if an older 6-10 year old saloon might be fun for a bit?

I really fancy something with an Uber soft ride and double glazing levels of quiet. I have a 40mile each way cross country commute, lots of 50-70 mph, lots of roundabouts and junctions to slow for.

Budget I could go £10-25k fairly easily, there is some lovely 4 year old a8s at around £30k but the wonderful levels of kit, but when they start talking about rear wheel steering and hybrid systems outside of the manufacturer’s warranty, even I am getting a bit nervous.

Any thoughts or experiences appreciated.

Cheers

Richard

I'm curious about the very same thing - Seems the 7 series isn't too much more expensive than a 5 series, but comes with much better seats!
