Pointless musing.

If you had to drive a sub-5-seconds-to-sixty, petrol car, as your daily driver for the next fifteen years, what would you choose?

> The car is free
> Fuel is paid for
> Insurance is paid for
> But you have to pay for maintenance and servicing
> It's the only car you can own or use
> Has to be petrol-powered
> Has to be road legal

I'm going to assume a V60 Cross Country or a petrol Golf Alltrack can be remapped to be that fast.

M5, or one of the fast SUVs (Bentley, perhaps?).

With a 15 year horizon it’s got to be at least vaguely practical.

I would be happy to cover them if everything else was paid for.

With those criteria I'd be quite happy with my M135i, thanks. I am suffering from a lack of imagination, so alternatives considered would be a manual F30 M3 Competition or an Alfa Guilia Quadrifoglio. Or a C6 Corvette. smile

Would have to be something I'd never tire of looking at, that makes an amazing noise, has enough practicality to seat 4 comfortably and bootspace for a weekend away.

Lexus lc500 convertible would be another shout for me. I'd never tire of the looks, big n/a v8 and the reliability of a rock.
